Never seen a pause jerk before, that was really cool.

The pause jerk seems like a really good idea to find weak spots. What kind of bells are those?

If they're beveled they are pro kettlebell

Nice it looks rough. I'll try that out soon. I'm looking into getting a belt, what brand is that?

Which comp kettlebells would you say are the best both quality-wise and in terms of handle ergonomics / comfort? I am looking at some options myself but would like to invest in some that would likely outlast me! Thanks.

Personally my two favorites handle shapes are 1. Pro kettlebell prokettlebell.com/online-store?aff=swing 2.Kettlebells USA paradigm pro elite.

@@kettlebellmusclegain Unfortunately i cannot get either where i live. I have access to the Wolverson fitness kettlebells, the Eleiko ones and the Kettlebell Kings which are very expensive. Are you familiar with the Wolverson ones?

Hi Joe, hope you don’t mind me asking, I am just starting serious kettlebell only training. I have an old style weight lifting belt (with the square back support rather than one width all round). I was going to use this in my training as I am thick set with a blocky torso and my elbows do not come anywhere near my hips. I know you use a powerlifting belt and I just wondered in your opinion whether you could foresee any issues with using the older style of belt for longer timed sets? Cheers for your time mate.

I dont think it will hurt you unless its uncomfortable in the front or pinches your belly /skin. See how it feels for a bit then you may want to test a different kind.

@@kettlebellmusclegain Cheers Joe, I've been trying it out doing a bit of heavier hypertrophy stuff, and, to be honest, it's been perfect and I've had no issues in terms of pinching which is good ! I had concerns that the larger back support may hinder me when I start doing my GS stuff, but hopefully all should be well. Thanks again for answering my question, much appreciated.

Great complex! How many sets would you normally perform?
@kettlebellmusclegain4 жыл бұрын
5 to 10 depending on weight. Is used comp weight and did 5 sets. Next I will use less weight and more sets.

Why wear a belt. You cannot in competition
@kettlebellmusclegain Жыл бұрын
What are you talking about? 90%of people that compete in kettlebell sport wear belts for jerk and long cycle As long as it's not taller than 4 inches I've worn this exact one in several competitions in past years in multiple federations. This is more a powerlifting style belt than kettlebell sport with the cutout on front iliac crest
