Thank you for unearthing this! I love the video dissolve effect. High-tech for 1975. They were so infatuated with it that they left it on for entire solos. And how useful! You can see the soloist and the person comping for him at the same time! It’s all like a hazy blurry dream.

Been a Braff fan all my life...def have to say that this solo on Mean to Me ranks up there with the best. WOW! He was on his A game that day! Benny Carter...musical genius!

Yes! Any video of George Barnes is special. 54 years of age here, George would be gone 2-years after this performance. Gone too soon. Great ensemble. Swingin their butts off!

I know I have some footage where they are on the same stage with other musicians, but not (I think) as the only two "horns." Much that was performed was not broadcast or I don't have access to it. But I will keep it in mind as I slowly dole out the treasures.
