You called the can opener bottle opener and the philips screwdriver flathead. Also, I do believe there is a crimping tool of sorts integrated in the spring for the pliers. I just can't get over how far that locking tab sticks out, that is sure to bug me. Other than that, this thing has a lot going for it.

Greetings from Germany! I've got quite a collection of (not only Swiss Army) Knives, but that is one I've missed, too. My favorite from the 85 mm Delemont series is the EvoGrip S 18 (in contrast to you, I like that kind of grip), which is 4 layer with a Phillips on the back and then the classical scissors + saw implements. Generally speaking, I prefer 3 and 4 layers, because 5 are already a bit bulky and I usually combine a SAK with another, larger but slender bladknife (usually locking) and a mini plier from Knipex. But if one wants a knife with lots of features, this really looks like a one worth considering.

Thanks for watching… and from Germany! Awesome! What part? I’ve spent a lot of time in Frankfurt and north over the years! I’ll have to check that S18 out!

I agree, I love the tool set and I wish Victorinox would make a similar model with IMHO their better pliiers and scissors. This series from my understanding has been discontinued so when existing stock sold off thats it

you would have an easier time with the autofocus if you move the camera back and zoom in. the distance increases the 'depth of field'. meaning the zone in which things are in focus is proportional to the distance between camera and subject.

Great video. Love this knife. I have the Wenger version in wood. I actually prefer the Wenger can opener - it can be used as a 1/4" hex bit wrench/driver/ratchet.

You can carry a knife with a locking blade in the UK it's just that you need a legal reason for doing so and the reasons are very limited and very specific and can be challenged if caught by a police officer carrying in a random stop and search that they do fro m time to time in the evolution series I have the grip 10 and S 17

Both are great knives. But I think around town EDC the plyers and wrench beat the saw. In the woods, the saw will beat the plyers. But if you are a SAK'S junkie like me, you will EDC the evogrip s557 hanging in one pocket and an Alox 7 Harvester hanging in the other pocket plus, the Swiss Champ XLT SAK on your belt. In the woods, add the RangerGrip 79 SAK. And when out on the boat, I bring my Skipper SAK. 🔪

This right here is solid truth for us SAK lovers! You, my friend, are a kindred spirit! :)

I like the evolution design because of the springs on the scissors and pliers tools. On the classic V’nox scissors and pliers springs get twisted, shift off the side of the tool and is generally less reliable than the spring design on the evolution series. Tom KC3QAC

That wrench looks pretty good. How good is it? It looks like it would be better placed on the edge as an outside tool. It would be nice if it would lock, given the jobs it may do. But it looks like a much better option than the pliers.

I really like the tools on this model, EXCEPT the stupid location of the blade lock, designed to cut into your fingers !

Weekends can't open let's try plastic screw top lids if I don't have a WIDE OPENING players standard SAK fires are just too small openings but this puppy solves the problem--- bye bye universal buck tool--- depressing a giggle

Id probably break this thing, in any real work environment i feel this sak would fail in so many ways. Even something simple as maintenance on simple small engine repairs or house projects most of the tools would be too weak or not big enough. Save yourself the money. I see this maybe being good for computer techs i suppose.
