I did a border run 🏃‍♂️ for a new 60 day visa at Chiang Khong to Laos , turnaround in 5 minutes cost 2000 baht ( Laos customs) , all was done in 1 hour! Across the Friendship’s bridge by border bus 2x 20baht 🇱🇦🇹🇭🙏🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️✅🏆

Lazada is great. If you buy from a Thai located shop, it arrives in two or three days. Chinese shops take more than a week.

Hi Tim, I live on the Gold Coast, Queensland and have used Temu many times with great success. However, I’d read a comment saying not to download their app due to issues with it so I never have. Otherwise delivery has always been timely and products as advertised.

My most recent entry experience entering one week ago on a multi entry. TR was the immigration trainee looked very closely at two visa exemptions stamps that were for two entries in 2023. Second entry this year will be on the same TR multi. My feeling is that I will enter next year on 60 days Visa exempt as long as that is still available then revert to single entry TR applied via E visa online and monitor peoples experience on Visa exempt numbers allowed between now and then. I don’t wish to be a guinea pig.

Not sure about 90 Day Reporting in Phang Nga but in Bangkok you have to report in person every country visit. Use to be able to do it online. Seems it's 1 step forward 2 steps back.

So when you go out of Thailand and return you have to do your 90 Day Reporting in person. This is being enforced in Bangkok and some other provinces.

Lazada and Shopee makes shopping easy and convenient instead of wasting time searching for items in shopping malls or markets but as with the food delivery motorbike guys and girls (Grab, Food Panda, RobinHood who was going to close but remains open) they do sometimes struggle to locate the delivery address. As good in Thailand as Amazon in UK and USA.

Maybe something more like the imminent EU visa - a 3yr visa got for a small fee on first arrival, allowing 90 days of stay(s) in 180 days. By not being per entry, it allows for short trips as well as long stays. Essentially part Thai visa waiver & part multiple entry/exit visa. But it is more complex - and as yet unproven!

Exemption of visa can cause unnecessary problems if proper security control are not put in placed. Recently in Singapore we have this foreign imported house breaking group who target the high end residents. It was ‘nip at the bud’ luckily.

Tim, everyone should keep a lookout for the Alpine Golf Course case which the current PM has shares in. Visa exempt does require you to show proof of funds and a plane ticket out of Thailand. They mostly don't ask for this but everynow and then when they shuffle through your passport stamps they may request them. So indefinite entries is going to be at the discretion of the officers, but for the moment they are encouraging people to enter thailand as it is good for the economy.

lazada indonesia is problematic. electronics sales via lazada should be avoided. products on the screen are in reality not what you have paid for. you must return the articles to a designated collect spot. therefore people buy cheap stuff sothat its not worth the effort sending them back. returned money is kept in a wallet. if that money is not enough for buying than you have to load up money via a bank.

I work overseas on rotation, but I live in Thailand with my family during my time off, and the way you present the daily news is ideal. You focus on stories that are most relevant to expats and those that affect us foreigners, which I find really valuable. If you were to switch to discussing each story live, I think you might lose some subscribers-I know I'd prefer not to wait through discussions just to hear the next story. Your Saturday show is perfect for diving into the week’s news in more detail. Just my two cents.

Brain damage is a type of neurological damage specifically involving the brain. This can be seen in people ordering from Temu or any of these Chinese online shops. Neurological damage can involve any part of the nervous system, including but not limited to the brain. As an example. it is often caused by goods containing dangerous chemicals, heavy metals and forbidden substances bought from Chinese online retailers.

Our Consumer council has just made a test of 38 products from Temu. 30 of them get a dump grade, and 11 out of 15 of the children's products had safety flaws. The experts have come to the conclusion that the products do not comply with European consumer legislation and may pose a health or safety risk, especially for children. So all in all, Im choosing not to use them and go with local traders.

I forget what the 1st 'big' social media platform was (started as a music site maybe?), then F***book, Instagram etc. Now it is all about Tik Tok. Currently, 80% of people I walk past on Beach Road & other areas are busy staring at their phones while sitting 3' from other people doing the same, nary a word shared, gaping at videos as if they had never seen movement before. What a huge step backwards for human interaction. No wonder we are constantly brawling over stupid sh*t. We have limited friendly face-to-face conversations any more. Tik Tok means 'tick... tock...' as humanity is truly 'on the clock.' It won't be long now.

Morally it's incorrect but, to indicate its a Thai issue is a misnomer. Wherever you may be from, preferential treatment is extended to some of the population. For example money buys good representation in America. That representation can enable you to escape punishment even when guilty. Movie stars don't wait in queue, police in some areas get free food and services and doctor receive treatment different from store clerks. Isn't this true in your home country?
