I've got a 99 Mille , owned for 24 years and it's going down the hole with me, 98,000 km , immaculate and has never missed a beat, only failure was a side stand switch that crapped itself years ago and a tip over switch that stuck when it fell over in a major earthquake in ChCh New Zealand in 2011.In my 70's now but can manage 500km day rides on it still .

Great Video. The 2002 RSV MILLE R Troy Corser Replica in Yellow its a forgotten Classic Bike I absolutely love mine. I always wanted an Italian Superbike but the Duke 916 was too uncomfortable for me (but is still a great bike) I've had my Aprilia for ten years and it's still amazing. Cheers Romano

This is not a 2001, This is a 2002 Model Year. Every year on the first gens the decals were a bit different.

How does the 119,bhp stack up against the 600s of the same era?
@PXCMEDIA Жыл бұрын
Think the mille r is around 130bhp but a 600 wouldn't keep up with it there is way more torque with the mille
@ppaauulloohhaarraa Жыл бұрын
@@PXCMEDIA yes I was just curious, I meant to write 128bhp not 118

I'm looking at a 929/954 fireblade or an rsv...I've never rode a twin

I've a GSXR600 K1 (though it has hot cams, a Yoshi system & Power Commander) and the RSV which is bone stock. Flat out I don't think there is a huge difference. The RSV is a good bit heavier but it doesn't feel it once rolling. The GSXR feels like it's going faster than it is because you really have to keep the engine spinning, by comparison the RSV is effortless. On the road the torque from the big twin really makes itself felt, you don't have to drop gears or slip clutch, I'd say it's noticeably faster almost everywhere. On a track or nice B road, the RSV still definitely has the legs but it's a lot closer.

119bhp, that aint right, the Mille R has 137 to my recalling and I know bhp aint the same as hp or ps but than still it's only a 0.01 difference per 1 so 119 is not correct.
@PXCMEDIA Жыл бұрын
Exactly I don't know where 119 comes from mine is around 139 ish but feels more than that it can easily get on the back wheel so think the SP is about 150bhp standard
@swansmeister Жыл бұрын
Yeah should be 137hp and the sp145hp. If you have one thats a very rare machine you have, treat that monster well. I had the exact same bike you are driving here in this vid, great bikes, that was 14 years ago and now looking for one again but the tuono version, getting old you know my back and wrists can't do it anymore hah.@@PXCMEDIA
