I started getting the booking green light of death on my dock. The unit itself died and won't charge. I unplugged my dock for a while and re plugged it up and the blinking green light is gone. The screen on the unit has a charging symbol now but the unit still won't turn on. Any suggestions

Patience. After getting the charging symbol on screen and no blinking light of death the system woke back up after a while at around 14% battery. I think what happened was the switch went into some kinda low-battery sleep mode but never fully died and was stuck unable to wake up with low battery. Resetting the dock by unplugging it and plugging it back up seemed to fix the connection between the switch and the dock charger port.

If you are still having a problem. Verify your TV is on correct input. Put both joy cons on the switch. Insert Switch into the dock with joycons still attached. Verify green LED is OFF on the bottom front left switch dock. If green led is on, Press the power button on the switch quickly. Just a single press. Press the power button once the LED is OFF, and it will turn green and And your switch may display on the tv. You’re able to remove the joycons after the Switch is displaying on the TV. This worked for me.

I little FYI here I had this problem. When connecting to a 4K TV set your switch to 720p it cannot handle 4KUHD that’s why it flickers on then off I know it sucks but this is the only way it’ll work with a UHD tv I just figured it out after 1 hour of trying everything hope this helps for anyone who has a 4K. Before I didn’t have this problem either but until a fix comes out this is the only solution that sticks so far for 4K right now.

just wanted to give a quick update on the Nintendo switch dock situation. I've recently been getting more and more reports of HDMI cables included with the switch being faulty. After a bit of digging it turns out the HDMI cables included with the switch are left over cables Nintendo had lying around from the Wii-U. Now just for the record my HDMI cable I got with my switch works fine but if you're having issues and power cycling the dock isnt helping , try using a different HDMI.

Switch was four days old and my kids spilled soda on the switch. While in hand held mode...they wiped off the soda mostly and some got in the charging port...they tried to play on the tv so insert into dock and it didnt work....so we sent in the switch without the dock to be repaired. Switch was repaired but now it wont connect to the tv. My dock looks good..question if the port on the switch got fried from the liquid is the port on the dock fried as well just from contact?
