Who the fuck plays switch at 4:3? Makes 0 sense. This device is for 4:3 nostalgics only. And I'm not really convinced about android emulators and input latency on that front. Nor linux on arm, that doesn't have a proper ps2 emulator.

😂 I'm more surprised Nintendo hasn't taken down your video ahhaha joke aside really hate how the company does business but considering is their current console I haven't really explored switch emulation since you can still buy hardware/software even if expensive as hell I do think switch emulation is harmful since Nintendo can and will make out an example of ppl emulating and could hurt the whole emulation scene.

I was actually thinking of doing a similar video as I also found doing some Switch in 4:3 actually looked pretty decent. I also was suprised how good some games were running in Android 10, I'm loving the Mini so much so it's really cool to see all this. But I too am really anticipating the RP5 now haha.

Same, I'm usually one for maintaining the aspect ratio as much as possible but the novelty had me curious. I ended up enjoying it more than I thought and I agree a lot of games work really well on the display! There's something super cool about seeing these games running on a smaller device.

Nice detailed video dude 😎👏 I would pronounce this other version you used Yoo-zoo-E just so you know. But you showed it so no worries. Interesting to see there's such a recent A10 build of Uzuy(not Yuzu) that also mentioned implementation of the Antutu benchmark trick that is a part of the newer Uzuy Edge/X stuff. This area is all new to me & have been learning a lot in my NS research in recent days. A13 flashed on the RP Mini(when it comes) I think may take up an additional 0.5-1.5GB of its 6GB RAM vs. A10. Which could potentially cause issues for someone wanting to run NS emulation & certain ram hungry games. None showcased here 'look' like they would be affected since the highest one was Hotshot Racing using ~3.2GB of app memory, unless the other NS emulators for A13 were to use more RAM with that game. So that + A13(if we use RP4P's build as a RAM reference) would be around 5.5GB+ of 6GB. I mean A11 on my RP2S uses ~1.5GB. A13 on the RP4Pro uses ~2-2.5GB I think I've seen. I'm not sure if A10 on the Mini uses less like 1GB or 1.5GB(similar to RP2S) for just Android. So that's how I'm kinda getting my estimates. So even with A10, the RP Mini may play NS better than with A13 on the Mini because its 6GB RAM limitation 🤔 But there's CEMU potential, Android games, and Android apps people use that need A11 or higher I guess, unlocked with that A13 flash coming. A potential tradeoff I hope unsuspecting people come to realize when they debate flashing to the A13 build that will be introduced with the RP5 🤷🏼‍♂️ Interested if performance of other systems & battery life may take a hit going from A10 to the less efficient A13. Excited to receive my RP5 in November. Cheers man and thanks for info/video!

Thank you for that, I was wondering how best to pronounce it! 😅😅 I think we will be seeing a lot of discussion about A10 vs A13 when it drops since there's things to consider on both sides. Like the Android app compatibility, which goes both ways since it can either break compatibility (without sideloading) or give us games that aren't otherwise compatible without a newer build of Android. I'm waiting for my Saturn model I purchased to come in but I plan on upgrading that one to A13 when it drops so I can do some comparisons! 🙏

For sure, yw! Yes, very true. Good to have that conversation happen instead of people just assuming, "1000% A13 will be better." There were a lot of people just complaining about no A13 at annoucement, just because number went down & not truly contemplating it, and then later only RP5 getting A13 + 2GB RAM bump at launch & Mini being left on A10 & 6GB. Always people complaining lol 👍 But A10 is way more efficient than 12 & 13 imo so might be better for everything not Android apps/games, CEMU, or NS. Depends on the user's prioritization. Idk how close A10(RP Mini) vs. A11(RP2S/RP4 Base) is. But the fact that A13 can use 0.5GB-1GB(or potentially 1.5GB) more than A10 is crazy to me, eating up some to most of that additional 2GB. Good deal. That will be useful I'm sure! to you and others. Running your 16Bit review unit on A10 and your personal Saturn RP Mini on A13 for comparison & content is a great plan 👌 Have a great weekend Rob!

Remember that RAM usage scales with how much RAM you have Devices with 16GB of RAM use more RAM for OS as opposed to 6GB devices and RETROID could add the option to use system storage as a help

Some games from your previous android games guide I tried to install on android 13 on Odin 2 pro and certain games appear not posted to android 13 yet and wouldn't run.

Thanks for doing Okami HD as from your PS2 video I was wondering if the supposedly superior version on the switch would actually work. Looks like it could be a good one for the RP5. Also Hot Shot Racing has a superior android port in terms of performance, would probably work better on the RP5 or mini on that platform than the switch. Has controller support too.

I ordered the RP5. Two of the switch games I'll try first on it are Hades and Advance wars. Hades don't run on my RP4P and Advance wars crashes whenever there is fog of war. Other than those, there are octopath travelers and triangle strategy, although I doubt 865 is powerful enough for games with unreal engine. After using my Pocket S for a while, I am under the impression that spending more on an android handheld for Switch compatibility is not worth it. SD or Ally is much better for that role. So, I think RP5 may be the best bang for your buck, and if you want anything better than that you're better off buying a cheapest base or used Steam Deck; Ayn Portal or Ayaneo Evo not worth it.

Would have been great if RP mini & RP5 could be updated to Android 13 so that both can experience the latest and most stable version of Yuzu. With that said, Android 10 build of Uzuy could benefit certain SD865-powered smartphones that never received any OS updates past Android 10 such Red Magic 5, Meizu 17 & Black Shark 3.

Unfortunately, that situation won't improve much until we see some development happen again with PS2 emulation on Android which has halted since last year. Basically, the more powerful devices are brute-forcing the problematic sections in games like Jak II.

They are not spiteful. They simply don't want all their hard work, from their dedicated employees and their R&D stolen and played on an emulator. Anyone should be able to understand that. How is that spiteful? They don't want their IP's damaged by hacked content and unauthorized fan made crap. That is completely understandable and has been their stance forever. I don't think you would be very happy if a chunk of your paycheck was taken away and given to others for free. Would you be spiteful for not wanting that to happen to your income?? The only people who don't like Nintendo protecting their assets are people who pirate their games and play them for free.

No, that's just one type of RPG. But RPG = role-playing game so you're usually in control of a character (or more) and they are typically story driven games with leveling up. There's all kinds of RPGs that are turn-based, strategy, action, etc.

if you do it by yourself it'll be much easier to fix it when you run into issues or updates later it'll also be more suited for you because you can handpick and load up the games you actually wanna play instead of having hundreds of games you'll never touch
