I love how you don't claim to make gourmet meals in a tiny microwave, exchange 30+ emails with caterers in far off cities, spend entire layovers going above and beyond everyone else. You simplify it and make it sound feasible and reasonable. You're not out to intimidate but to encourage.

Every account you work on is different and there are definitely some passengers who require all the craziness you just named but it’s totally possible to have reasonable prep work and smooth flights for a majority of your trips.

Thank you for sharing our industry. I have found myself a few times approached by corporate business jet F/As observing me and asking me why don't I come over the this side of flying. It was a compliment for me!! I am a former Purser Flight Attendant and have enjoyed flying to see the world in my former career. I still continue to think that both commercial and corporate F/As are great jobs in the industry.😊

Glad you have a video about the differences. Are there other differences that aren’t so obvious? I’m curious to know about your schedule flexibility and how long your layovers are. Are you the only crew working the trip as well?

Depends on the account or the trip. I’ve had as little as 12 hours on a layover or up to a week long layover. If you’re a contractor you can pick up or turn down trips as you find them, if you work for a company then flexibility isn’t really a thing. You might have a set schedule like 7 days on 7 days off or 20 days on and 10 days off. Your life definitely revolves around the jet schedule not your own when you’re full time

Okay, this is something I definitely wanna do but do you need a lot of experience to work on private jets?

So when you get the snacks/fruit for your flight, do you save the receipt so you get reimbursed for that?

Are you usually working alone or do you have other flight attendants?

Do you get paid for the time taken to do the grocery run? Are you paid from the time you are required to arrive and set up or just for flight time?

Usually it’s a day rate between $500-$1000 for the day whether you work one hour or 14 with or without the shopping.
