Ha, that’s hilarious!! Flushing the toilet is the first thing we do too. Business jet pilot here. This is very important as this FA pointed out. There is nothing worse than having the pax show up and then making the discovery that the LAV has not been fully serviced. You cannot trust that line service or the previous flight crew have completed this task. The only thing I would suggest is to not use any combination of water and alcohol on the leather. Some of our aircraft have very expensive suede or leather and we’ve found that using anything with alcohol will definitely dry out and even discolor the material. We use a product called “Real Clean” leather cleaner and conditioner and you can order it online from Pilots HQ, for about 18 - 20 bucks. Happy flying!!

Great video! I have some notes though ( I’ve been corporate FA for 17 years now, and a line trainer). I would never put anything in a sink, as it doesn’t look elegant when passengers are entering a plane and seeing milks and other things sticking out from a sink. We always cover sink for boarding and disembarkation. When touching any food passengers may eat, like you did with a fruit basket, we always wear gloves and change them all the time when touching different food, to keep everything clean and hygenic. It’s always a nice touch to print a menu for passengers and display it. Also we always elegant small flower arrangement, display magazines, weeklies and newspapers on a credenza / small table. Paper napkins for fruits, snacks etc look much more elegant when placed on a small nice tray, not directly on credenza. Same with mints - I would never ever put them into a cup holder - always in a small bowl or tiny ramekin, together with a napkin. As for galley preparation - we always prepare lemons, limes, and other accomplishments we may use for cocktails or food before the flight. Hot/cold/wet towels we always serve as soon as passengers get comfortable at their seats, and before landing. Depending on the service and flight duration, we serve them also before and after main meals. I don’t know why you need a two snacks baskets there - one would be more than enough with the amount of snacks you have. As for leather cleaning - it’s better to use leather care products for seats instead of water with alcohol. This can damage a leather! Our Manual is 300+ pages so I could for for hours 😂😂😂

If a guest requests several “mixed” drinks on a flight and does not look intoxicated, do you serve them? If not, what’s the cut off? Is is like Delta Airlines where they will not serve more than 4 drinks on a transcontinental flight.
@be2366 ай бұрын
Wow.. interesting job... so do you get a budget /stipend from airline to provide the snacks and drinks? Or is that from your own money? And the passengers can get snacks on their own, but have you request from you for the drinks, which I assume is unlimited for them?

I have a company card I use to buy all food, snacks and drinks for the airplane. If a flight attendant is working as a contractor, they might have to pick up items like lemons, milk, juice and fruit and get reimbursed. Everything depends on the arrangement with the company

Really interesting -- a couple of things did stand out. 1. You lifted the toilet seat with your hand without a glove. Yuck. lol That sucks that a cleaning crew doesn't at least handle the bathroom. 2. That defib lol. It looks like it was picked up at a garage sale. I guess as long as you're sure it works. 3. Stuffing food in a sink full of ice doesn't exactly paint a picture of first-class travel. None of this is your fault. I guess it more than anything makes me appreciate how difficult your job is before the plane is even airborne!

Hiya! I worked for 17 years for a commercial airline in Dubai and Canada, was thinking of going the private route. I have a few questions... Do you get paid on the ground? Also, do you get any flight benefits with commercial airlines, I know flight passes are very important to FA ‘s so might be a downside to private flying. Unless if the pay compensates for that - ie much more then commercial flying. Also, what type of layovers do you get? Per diem ? One last question lol- was that outfit your uniform? super pretty! 😊

As a private flight attendant for a major corporation and all of the owners families and friends, the one thing that we don't do is serve drinks before takeoff. The possibility of something happening and having the glassware fly thru the cabin could be a dangerous situation. Just a precaution. Although it is a nice gesture and the passengers appreciate it, we always wait until that 10,000 ft altitude is hit. Happy and safe travels! Good job!
