Switch from Windows to PopOS

i like PopOS!... One of my favorite distros. Windows is excellent at testing your patience... since the updates take forever... and your hard drive keeps growing and growing.

LOL Windows tests my patience every day I use it and updates take about 50 percent of my time at work. I have never had a PopOS update take more than 2 minutes, thanks for watching

I haven't made the ultimate switch yet, but I do switch back and forth from time to time. So far the best experience I have had was on Fedora 40. (Except for the constant crash notifications I would get and browsers crashing due to the extensions when I would launch them while using VS Code.

@@ViperKang it is a really hard switch none of the games I like play on it. I kind of see it this way Windows has its place and so does Mac as well as Linux I use all of them everyday and it keeps me on my toes. All enterprise environments will more than likely use Windows so it is good to know it. Fedora is an amazing distro, but I hope someday you will make the ultimate switch but do not feel bad if you do not, as it is good to know all of them. Thanks so much for watching!

personally, i'm more of an arch person (btw, lmao)... but whatever convinces people to free themselves from the nightmare that is windows is a good thing imo; nice you seem to have a good time on PopOS! :)

I actually like Arch myself and that AUR is a thing of beauty! I am with you whatever gets people away from the abomination of Windows it is a good thing for sure! I do really enjoy PopOS but I also really like EndeavourOS, thanks so much for watching!

@@ahmedfarah2930 that is a good thing! I actually use Mac at work and have a MacBook at home, but I use all 3. I try to stay as current as I can on all 3 also helps me to maintain skills in all since where I work uses strictly Windows. Thanks so much for watching

I have downloaded the alpha 2 version of the Cosmic desktop for PopOS. It's promising and I might switch from Linux Mint if it makes my work flow smoother. I particularly like the window tiling feature so far but it does need some work.

PopOS is amazing til it blows up after updates. Windows is a broken mess, always something wrong, always fixing shit. In Linux *very* few things work to begin with, so not much can break. But if it does break, that's it, you're done.

​@@sherrilltechnology that sounds like what bob and tom of a radio morning show said. they say ALOT of garbage, but play good classic rock attracting the listeners. When they got criticized the said, "it's not for everyone", degrading those that gave them patients, their listeners opinions. You put a linux review up attracting it's fan base. There's no disclosure that you're a rambling baby boomer in the thumbnail. It's not like i'll rember not to click on your channel nor can i block you. please show respect
