Switch OLED vs Switch 2: The Ultimate Comparison!

I just bought my Nintendo OLED last week, I'm so happy with it and it's so amazing. In my pov, the new console aka Switch 2, is still in the developing phase, and they have not been officially announced by Nintendo and that happens probably sometime in the next year. Even if they announce it officially, the release of the product would take another few more weeks or months. On top of that, the prices would be expensive initially, so we have to wait again few months the prices to drop (drop to the actual price range) plus the releases for more games for the Switch 2 would take couple more months and for now I'm happy with my new Switch OLED and what it offers. 😃

Waiting for Switch 2 at this point is the best decision you can do as it'll definitely be a great update and a definitive wave to enjoy Switch library too. HOWEVER Look, if you, the one who reads this comment, want to buy Switch OLED - you should absolutely do that or at least wait till the announcement (which is hopefully in October) to see the price. The OG Switch ecosystem will be provided with support of new games (that are most likely to be a cross gen) for at least 2-3 years after Switch 2 release. Of course potential new 3D Mario games will be only for Switch 2 but smaller projects will definitely come out on the old one as well. Plus, you'll be able to upgrade to Switch 2 when a potential new model (like v2 or lite or OLED) comes out. If you really want to enjoy some Switch games but you can't afford OLED - buy a used Lite and play those games till a new console and then sell it for a roughly the same price

*A little remark for an OLED scenario It's more about using it in a handheld mode, since docked it looks a bit rough. But, I mean, the point of OLED is literally a better screen in a handheld mode, so...

got both compared lcd to oled. to me oled is underwhelming. to me its like 10% warmer and 10% brighter. i got mine discounted brandnew in red. if it wasnt in red and if it wasnt discounted i wouldve regret it😂

I don't know what to get the nitendo switch OLED or the nitendo switch 2 i play alot of newer games like nba 2k25 but the nitendo switch is much bigger and heavier i dont know what to pick can someone help me out?

I just got my Nintendo switch OLED on Halloween of this year and trade in the original Nintendo switch I had. And I come from a poor family and so I don't think I can afford Nintendo switch 2 and I heard it be $400 or $500 😞

For new buyers like me and never experienced this kind of console device, I will buy NS-oled it's much cheaper right now then I wait for NS2-oled I think it's around 2026-2027, also there are possible many adjustments improvement needed and test bug for this new device. This is just my only opinion and It doesn't matter. If you have the money then go. ❤😊

i doubt! ps5 pro gonna be the same console. its powerful but people wants to play outdoors and on the go now so it either switch or pc handheld. people who bought ps portal are just fooling themselves its pretty useless without wifi.

you cant go wrong old switch and oled vs switch 2 cause they got lots of games. if youre a casual gamer and doesnt really play aaa games switch and switch oled is good for 3 more years after switch 2 release date

For me, getting a switch oled in the black Friday sale is a no-brainer. The switch 2 might not be out until the summer 2025 and will be at least in the 400-450 (maybe more) price range at launch, so it could be black Friday 2025 before I could get a decent deal on it, like £400 maybe. For now I can get Switch Oled for £289 with super mario wonder pre installed, for all other 3rd party games I just use my Xbox or Playstation anyways. It's the Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong and Metroid games I want, and I'll happily play them on handheld or docked 😁
