Can you help me understand the difference between Kibisu Gaeshi and Kuchiki Taoshi? I have a vague idea. It is not just the hand placement, rather in KT you drive the opponent while in KG you "sweep" the opponent if I understood correctly. It almost seems like pulling towards the ground.

Kibisu-gaeshi is very much about the timing and sweep like motion, whereas Kuchiki-taoshi has a drive through the opponent. As you mentioned, traditionally the hand placement is very different too, but its the mechanics that differentiate the techniques. It might help to think about it in similar terms to the difference between kosoto-gari and kosoto-gake - from the outside they might look similar, but you can feel they are very different when applying them.

Can you do video: How to do one step Hane goshi?
@EfficientJudo2 жыл бұрын
We cover One Step Uchi-mata our video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZavgmWgrM6Uqac and it shares a lot of similarities with regards to the entry. I can't say when we'll get around to doing a video on One Step Hane-goshi specifically as we have a long list of content on our backlog to record.
