Yeah and my thing is there’s smaller KZbinr creators who have been pivoting and growing their channel during this time due to making videos their viewers are interested in. Instead of just just trying to appeal to everyone. He keeps using BeatemUps as the gold standard but chasing trends is not sustainable to keeping a healthy channel.

This is why alot of creators have said in the past to broaden their channels beyond one product. Pivoting to Nintendo or coming up with new ideas like “history of Nintendo” going through the decades with each console and such” there’s plenty to do to broaden your brand. Thing is BeatemUps just goes for what’s trending it’s a poor way to keep sustainability. You gotta figure your own path.

This video is being made by quite a few KZbinrs that cover Nintendo so I’m not sure where u got the idea that no one’s talking about this subject. It was spoken about quite a bit last year also but beatemups and rgt85 bought up this topic prominently this week. It’s to be expected that as a console reaches its final years interest will start to diminish and unfortunately that then reflects in the views of content based on that particular console. This is only significant now as social media consumption is at its peak and open to the whole world so people can view many videos everyday if they so choose on there preferred hobbies/interest, where as in previous console generations that was not the case. Although I’ve seen many videos cover this topic over the last year it’s a shame that some people are losing their job over this but as Rgt said I hope they find something quickly and in the field the love. Next year the buzz will be alight again so there’s definitely a brighter day coming soon.

I have a feeling that a lot of KZbin creators build ... generic stuff. All of these hidden gems etc. - 99 % of KZbinrs copy from each other. It's weird, especially when it comes to Nintendo Switch, because this is literally first handheld that has absolutely MASSIVE list of games. You can easily find great, super cheap digital, unkown ie. platform games or any kind of games. You just need to ... play a lot. I have a feeling that majority of KZbinrs who create such lists ... don't play computer / console games. They just copy / blend 2-3 different lists, from different KZbinrs. I always like your videos because you seem to really play games, you seem to know the games, you come up with your own titles etc. To be honest, I prefer "micro" KZbinrs because they're much more hmm real. I know that it may be not great for them, in terms of earning money, having sponsors etc. but when I see ie. KZbinrs like mkbhd I see just ... safe, generic videos. AI could create such videos. Yes, there are too many KZbinrs - that's true. There are too many Switch KZbinrs as well as retro handheld youTubers etc. (2 years ago there was only ie. Retro Game Corps) but that's how world looks like now :( There are too many games, too many movies / tv series, too much music, too many books. In order to consume everything you would need to live for like 300 years :D If you would STOP everything, people still could spend YEARS consuming such content.

Here's a few survival tips for the wait. -Collectors related contents videos (our boy @MonadoMax got it covered) -Sales miss and avoid videos. There will be sales going until switch 2 and on... always too many games on sales. And weekly videos with content to avoid or do not miss among those games is always welcome for players waiting for switch 2

Keep up the great work! Every real life industry/jobs goes thru ups and down. Just is what it is. Keep on keeping on!! Monday morning comes and I'll just get up, get ready, and go to my old regular job. But during the weekend, I'll ENJOY my regular Nintendo Switch, I love it, will always love it, and as far as it goes it is perfect just the way it is. Switch KZbinrs have it pretty rough in general. If you have a Switch OLED you likely have decent software to capture and create content, but if you have a modest Switch Lite you literally have to string '30 round burst clips' together to make a janky video, LMAO. I wonder how next gen Nintendo content will vary when you can record longer clips, or even live stream "legitimately" (I'm sure there's something in the 'Terms of Use' agreement during the Switch setup / activation that nobody reads... jokes). Not a Joke: during MonadoMax's next gen Nintendo console unboxing video he must read the User Agreement at the end :)
