This is what happens with mass production. Thanks to the hard work by the keyboard community, the general public has finally learned to appreciate solid keyboards and companies can now mass produce them. That means prices come down and everything tends to become the same. Happened in phones and it’s happening with keyboards.

I recently reviewed this or an online retailer and it's fantastic! I have almost all the new budget 75s and this one of the best. I got the Wisteria Tactile and I love the feel, sound is phenomenal! No fancy weight that you will never see anyway but I gave it a high recommendation as well, it's one of the few that made it into my rotation. Not that others were bad but was happy you got multiple switch options with very nice caps on this. And yes you can switch it to Mac with a key command, only thing is you don't get any Mac keys with it like you would with a Nuphy Halo75 (which is the other to make it into my rotation with my QK75n). Nice to have the dongle storage as well! I know I said it last video as well but very glad to see new Switch and Click videos again! :) Love the cloud deskmat!

I think how the touch of the keyboard is the key to how I pick them in the end. I ended up with two Leopold keyboards just because how I liked and was impressed with the touch the MX blues have on them and realizing I'll be wasting more money on custom keyboards trying to fail on duplicating the unique touch of Leopolds. Yup, I tried looking at and typed with some samples of custom keyboards, but none of them beats those damn prebuilds from Leopold, so I end-gamed myself right on the spot just because how nice a keyboard can feel.

The Rainy 75 is the only one I could spot. The little cloud logo is just too cutie. But besides that they all blur together. That being said I am looking at this over the Rainy 75, since Amazon offers free shipping on this Epomaker P75. While the Rainy 75 price increased on Amazon to 140 and off their website they charge 40 dollars to ship the Rainy 75 in the US making the new cost roughly 140 vs this one for $99 with free shipping.

I'd agree, over the last couple of years the hobby has changed. there if far less incentive to 'go custom / group-buy' as the off the shelf items are becoming so good. When you toss in hall effect boards and optical switches which are far more challenging for the bespoke market to adopt... times they are a changing. all the best for the young kid. as with keyboards, one is never enough ;)

Should you get this or yunzii al75?
@RexMadman2 ай бұрын
Well, the Wobkey, Womier, and Lemokey all support VIA. What makes this more compelling that requires custom software? I understand certain hall effect features may need it, but this doesn't seem to have any special features. I like it has some simple external allen screws to take it apart, but that is also behind the curve since Wobkey, Womier, and other brands are moving to magnetic ball latch (tool less) cases.

Last night I made a list of what features I would want in my "ultimate keyboard". Then I just happen to watch this video today and I'm shocked that the epomaker p75 ticks just about every box for me. The only missing features I see would be some magnetic feet (maybe not needed) and a little bit bigger battery. I technically already own 4 mech keyboards... I may have to make that 5 after I pick up the p75 🙂 Thanks for the Great video.

I can't get it in Australia yet. Some of the alternatives you listed don't have the volume knob, also I use the End key often also and they subbed out the End key for the volume knob, I hate how they all do that. It's really difficult to match some of the requirements I want and end up wanting a $200+ keyboard to try get it all, which I can do, if I can find the right one and it's actually in stock, and avaliable in Australia grrr! I been looking for AGES!

You should try the Womier RD75 as it does a few things differently like it has ball catch so no need for any tools to open the case up plus it also has a magnetic connector for the cables inside so no need to even detach them. And a massive 8000mAh battery which is amazing because no need to charge so many times. QMK/VIA support so no need to even install software 😮
