Awesome video, and a huge congratulations on reaching episode 50. I am so glad I have now discovered your content as I genuinely think it is one of the best retro gaming videos out there. I am a huge fan of Switchblade 2 as well, although I think every one of your criticisms was spot on with the game. One slight improvement to your format, in my opinion, would be to cross-fade the game clips when you jump forward in the gameplay, this will make it feel less jarring. Beyond that though I think it is fantastic. Cannot wait to watch through the other videos and bask in the Amiga gaming love.

I'm always looking for ways to improve and your comments about the gameplay segment are something I'm trying to fix. Going to try recording the voiceover and gameplay separately and see if that makes a difference.

This game was one of those rare occasions that both the Amiga and the ZX versions were cool.

I remember the timw when I was first introduced to Switchblade II, when my friend played it! I loved the graphics, design and setting and was eager to try it, but as soon as I tried it I got dissapointed with clunky and slow movement, "dumb" enemy patterns and overal gameplay! But, I will do my re-review and I think it is time for my own re-assesement on my Miyoo!

Are you playing it on the mini Amiga or emulation on a pc?. Can you plug a ps4 or xbox controller to the mini?. If you can, I totally recommend it because you can use the analogue instead of the dpad. Its like an arcade stick. With 2d games I always use the analogue, I hate the dpad.

Playing it using TheJoystick for the A500 Mini. Having to push down and then up to do the big jumps doesn't really work on a joypad so I'd recommend a proper joystick for this one every time.

@@UKGamingNetwork Try the analogue stick, not the d pad. Back then, I had the best thing to play Amiga games, I had the arcade stick from quickshot, maverick one. Playing with the analogue stick is like playing with the arcade stick. Joysticks were just a fraud that people invented and were not meant to be used to play games. Of course, there were nice joysticks. If its something like in the shape of the atari, its nice because its an arcade stick. Those joysticks that mimic a plane joystick, those are garbage in my opinion and when I look back and think I used to play with one of those and played platformers where I had to press diagonal, I cant believe how I could play and be good at those games.

@@pnvgordinho I played all my Amiga games back in the day with the Zipstick, aka, the joystick of Champions. Simply cannot play Sensible Soccer with anything else!

@@UKGamingNetwork It doesnt look bad but saying "joystick of champions" its fake news :). Did it had the clicky noise, aka great quality? The maverick had the clicky noise.
