I LOVED Chase HQ2 on Amiga! I know its jerky as you like but, for me, it was fab, and with all the arcade speech it really felt like a real arcade experience. 😁 Anyway, great vid!

Great choices... my favs would be... Shadow of the Beast 2, cannon fodder, Superfrog, It came from the Desert, Another World, Wolfchild, Syndicate and Back to the Future 2 (made me buy the screen gem pack)

But I have one issue , I really want to play with nostalgic joystick and if you have the answer please respond to me , is there any way to get some kind of usb adapter to like a batthandle joystick to the Amiga mini ? What a great (and not so great) varied list. Amiga owners were certainly spoilt for choice with football games. Nice to see the GOAT quite rightly at number 1 (Sensible Soccer and certainly SWOS) and nice for someone else to actually see that Goal! was the better 'Kick Off' game and a big improvement over its more famous cousin Kick Off 2. I rememeber buying Striker No9 blindly thinking it was a sequel to Stiker (which I loved at the time), and being so disappointed and trying to take it back to the shop... they didnt accept returns ha :) Also a little harsh on poor John Barnes , all in jest of course, but it was a pretty good game and I count that in the same evolution series at the first two Man Utd games ref the play engine by Krisalis. Thanks once again for a great Amiga chart video :)

Another euro-platformer with artificialy added "depth", because of contemporary vane notion in Amiga community that "ordinary" platformers are "yesterday's idea"! While, in fact, Amiga developers only needed to improve gameplay to arcade level and style, and that's whole "idea"-playability! Very rare, if ever that happened (same with shooters) and we got tons of clunky, over complicated collectathlons! Also, in Rolling Rony you never know what is platform and what is not!

Enjoyable video as always. Football games aint my thing personally, but do enjoy SWOS, Kick Off 2, and Goal.

Tiny bubble is far from perfect, its main (but not only) issue being it controls differently to the arcade especially in the amount of left and right mobility you have when dropping down. I still prefer the original version of bubble bobble for the Amiga

Fuzzball never gave me any grief controls-wise on real hardware....

The FIFA games were, are and will always be trash.

Football glory was very cool and Sensible is number one. Go to your list and put the original Sensible at number 2 position. :) Empire soccer doesn't cut the mustard for me.

Quite the epic list. I've not played anywhere near that many footie games. AMiga Soccer I bought on budget and I honestly think it is terrible. I was sure that you could get sound effects by hitting the Tab key but I may be wrong on that.

There's something about these videos that is just so warm and nostalgic. Thank you for putting these together :)

Sucks the only way to play Daytona 2 Legally is this, amazing efforts have been made in Model 3 emulation but I wish sega would just release model 2 and 3 game collection so that these amazing games can have a bigger audience.

Stardust and Super Stardust were awesome. Asteroids isn't my game... but this is a great clone.

I was blown away by the graphics and techno sound especialy at intro and warp sequences! Smooth pseudo 3D scrolling and scalling of pre-rendered graphic assets was mind blowing! But ultimatively, it was Asteroids and gets boring preety quickly and it is confusing game. I wish whole game was made out of warp stages, which don't have greatest gameplay ever, but shire graphical splendor keeps you playing more! In Stardust, they are to few and far between!

GODS !! 10/10!!

Pupazz was a playable character in Shadow Fighter if you knew the cheat code to do it 😄 It was definitely technically one of the best vs fighters on the Amiga, although it suffered a bit from generic/forgettable characters. Graphically and playability wise it was ace, though! ☺ Super Street Fighter 2 was brill, even with the compromised graphics, it played really nicely! Mortal Kombat 1 & 2 were both brill conversions, too 🙂

Opinions of course but I would personally say it's only the truly wonderful title screen and First world music that are especially good for Super Frog as the other tracks aren't up to that same standard. The title for Agony isn't all that spectacular but I think it impresses some because it sounds somewhat authentic to a piano being played For me personally Battle Squadron has undoubtedly two wonderful music tracks. Hybris title is just as brilliant. Turrican 1-2-3 are all very good with 1-2 being I think best overall most could agree but 3 does have some killer tracks as well. I'd give the nod to Speedball 2 over the excellent Gods just because it's a great piece no doubt but it's also a fuller piece. Chaos Engine has a tremendous set of tunes in game and a highlight for me personally by Richard Joseph. Jim Power is frankly astonishing and it's a shame Chris Huelsbeck doesn't write with clearly identifiable melody any more. Driving Force has some cracking tunes. E.C.O has two great pieces. G.nius has 4 incredibly brilliant and unique pieces that don't get mentioned very often but they are exceptional. Masterblazer has another impressive set of tunes by the maestro which I rather like and Apidya is also rather excellent. Cybernetix has two really terrific tunes. Uridium has two nice tunes and the Fire and Ice water music stands out as very pretty

It’s a yes from me on many of these, especially Lotus 2. Strangely I’ve never really loved the IK+ or Superfrog tunes but I know others do. My tuppence worth is the Law n Justice table of Pinball Illusions, the in game music from HeroQuest (not so much the title music as many others like), and the title music from both Tower Assault and The Horror Continues AB games. And the title music from Flashback.

Agree with the list, specially with number one, Jim Power. I like the Turrican music but Jim´s is better. You forgot HIred Guns and Harlequin.

If anyone's wondering about how to choose rhe right button on the compass, you count the buttons starting at 0 because you're counting from North / 0. So from 0-180 there are 16 buttons. Then, to figure out the length of the units represented by the buttons, 180 ÷ 16 = 11.25. So, each button represents 11.25⁰. My coordinates were 135, so 135 ÷ 11.25 = 12. I counted up from 0 to the 12th button and got it. Did the same with this guy's and got the 20th button, which is the one he picked.

Ah found many of the platformers... I rate Woody's World game higher for me. Also, how do you class and rate Ruff 'n Tumble? On my own lists in my Amiga book, I ended up calling it a platformer (as included side on run 'n gun as part of the platformer.) Scooby and Scrappy Doo is one I love as well.

Are you playing it on the mini Amiga or emulation on a pc?. Can you plug a ps4 or xbox controller to the mini?. If you can, I totally recommend it because you can use the analogue instead of the dpad. Its like an arcade stick. With 2d games I always use the analogue, I hate the dpad.
