Great video. Did you test how far away the sensors can be from the hub?

I have the hub mini in about the middle of my house. The farthest sensor is about 50-60ft and that has to go through several thick plaster walls. Their official spec says the range in an open field it is 262ft for what its worth.

Do your need switch it light bulbs and plugs for sensor to work

You need a smart light switch, smart light bulb, or switchbot button pusher so that the motion detected (or not) event trigger can turn on/off a light. For example, I have a routine setup to turn off the lights in a room that are on a TPLink smart light switch when the switchbot motion sensor doesn't detect motion for 15 minutes (nobody is in the room).

Can you use these motion sensors to turn on/off lights not made by switchbot

Yes I have mine set to control TP Link light switches for example
