A "fetch-quest" isn't necessarily a BAD thing... Much like the oft derided "walking simulator" It all depends on the environment you're doing it in... And this looks gorgeous! I only vaguely know the cartoon, but this looks pretty fun

Fun fact, the ones making this Shin Chan games are the ones behind Attack of the Friday Monsters. Basically the games try to give ‘a summer in the eyes of a kid’. So don’t try to understand what happens with your adult logic. If Shin Chan decides that the store owner is weird get ready to see how the narrative shows a store owner that is a secret alien spy.

For 40€ it’s worth it for me, this game is not ‘cozy’ is a beautiful tale about seeing the world as a kid again. And then, cozy too.

I’ve been playing the Japanese version for some time now, and loving it! Sadly the timer is present while you’re in Coal Town, as I think makes for a clever bit of “don’t spend all your time here”, as he’ll get tired and stop for a nap - one you wake up from back at home. Overall a fantastic game and one I’m glad to see getting an English release.

Go for it, I always used to watch the cartoon when I was a kid, this game looks p gorgeous ngl. and he also said the 1st game was like a surprise hit for him so might be worth checkin out.
