To everyone that complains about this song not being a "Christian Song": it doesn't have to be. You can priase God without singing Christian music. As long as you do your music to the best of your ability and give the glory to God when you're done with it then you're praising him with your music. Switchfoot may not have made this song specifically Christian but I'm sure if you ask them they'll give the glory to God.

Born for the Sunrise, we'll survive the pain. We are the dark horses From the very title of this song, every lyric is edifying. I do not see where this is not a message inspired from Love&Hope&Perseverance. Just because the name Jesus/God ain't there, doesn't make it any less Christian. Perhaps the meaning of DarkHorses brings uncertainty. It refers to a perceived underdog emerging victorious.

I like how a lot of the people in this comment section don't want to see any "religious" discussions because they are "open-minded," but they will willingly make fun of Christians regardless. Yes, some Christians don't treat gays respectfully. But at the same time, many Christians do treat gays respectfully. Me being one who does. We're all equally sinful in God's eyes- Gays, straights, Christians, atheists. "Hate the sin, love the sinner." You're right, nobody should force their beliefs down someone's throat, but don't persecute us for our faith only when we bring it up publicly.
