Switching from Basic to Advanced Warehouse in Dynamics 365

I'm trying to get our d365 captains to turn our quarantine warehouse to advanced warehousing so we can create work templates for production but for some reason they are saying it cannot be done ... I feel watching this it can be but they are being awkward and not doing it ... Stating there are consequences ... Even thought it seems we have no transactions within that warehouse ... What are your thoughts pal?

Hey Scott can we suggest to create new wh and location even if they don't want to use licence plate We do have a scenario where item storage dim is site wh so we are suggesting to create new item for those

If you want to use advanced warehouse you will need to make sure the items are at site warehouse and location levels. You actually generally don't have to use a license plate for AWMS as long as you are using a simple implementation. So don't let the LP dissuade you from using AWMS.

@@Scott-Gaines we are using item with site wh location and also with site wh for same WH for transaction , so we are planning to ask them to create new WH and lcoation and ask to migrate on hand is it suggestable?? yes we are not using license plate and for scanning we will create for item master , location master using custom label layouts
