Even though we've doing RC for Littles (and in transition to full RC) for the past year, I always learn something or have an "aha" moment from your videos. I wish I would've started off with RC with my oldest, but I'm loving how customizable this method is, but simple.

The Robinson Curriculum is a "continual ladder of information and they just keep climbing it at their own speed." So Peaceful! So Lofty! So Custom!

I'm still so thankful that I found your channel years ago, Karen. RC has been such a game changer in our homeschool and now I have my 5 year old starting pre-RC with your RC For Littles course. ❤

I just looked through the Rainbow Resource Center homeschool catalogue and drooled over all the beautiful curricula options out there, then compared the prices and work load to RC and remembered why I'm sticking with RC! Sometimes it's fun to what else is out there, but I always come back to RC!

As with so many others, we’ve been doing RC for quite a while now, but I still find your videos encouraging! It’s simply good to “stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance.” It helps us to “stay the course.” Plus, it gets my own juices flowing. While I listened to you talking about the writing part, I realized perhaps I could get my kids to open up a little more in their writing if I myself would occasionally write something to each of THEM during that time, perhaps in letter form, which would give them something to respond to. Every time I hear you say “time or money,” I smile. My own phrase for that is “We have more muscle than money,” i.e., we do things around the house, pond, garden, chickens, etc., that lots of people would hire out, but “We’ve got more muscle than money.”😊

I like that muscles than money! Yes- I love that idea! I bet they would treasure those letters. My husband wrote one recently to my teen daughter and I know it meant a lot to her. It's such a great, bonus way to communicate. It truly is a gift of words.

I already planned out this upcoming school year, but I will begin to develop the habits necessary for homeschooling the Robinson way. My oldest a year ago told me she prefer to read and learn for herself than for me to lead instruction. I should've listened. Thank you for the videos. It has shown me that my child can learn independently and it is a habit that we want to foster into adulthood.

Hi Karen! I'm new to your channel and I stumbled across your channel ( so glad I did)! I have 2 students, a 7th grader and a 9 ninth grader transitioning from GA Connections Academy ( it was too much for different reasons). There are so many homeschool curriculums to choose from, but RC seems like it would be a good fit for my middle schooler and teenager. I'm hoping that this curriculum is easy to navigate.

Have you used or looked at My Math Assistant for Saxon math? Any thoughts on how that may or may not be in line with the RC method?

I’m new to homeschool and very intrigued by this method! I am concerned about my struggling reader. She is 9. This type of literature seems so advanced and I think she would struggle reading it independently. How do struggling readers do with RC? Do you read the selections aloud with them? Are they just lower on the list and take lots of time moving forward? Audiobooks? Thanks for the insight!
@ourhouse
@ourhouse 2 жыл бұрын
It starts very easy with McGuffey readers and easier books. I would work on getting their fluency up while they read the first books independently. If you do a search on my channel for reading videos, you will see a few on remedial work with free resources.

Can you explain the RC packages? Everyone keeps saying $195 but on the website there are 3 options, the 3rd has the RC for littles and the lifetime for $999. I have 5 kids ages 16 to 1, so isn't that the one I would need? But $999 is a huge jump from $195 and not doable for us.
@ourhouse
@ourhouse Жыл бұрын
$195 you get the full curriculum except the math books. You would have to purchase them on your own and also you could purchase my course RC course for Little separately in my store for $50. The lifetime access includes everything with all the math books, answer keys etc, all the flashcards (math, vocabulary, and phonics) already printed, some other materials ready to go and includes my course RC for Littles and year to my membership site. The last two you can purchase from my store. sustainablehomeschooling.com/store

Do you have to buy all this stuff extra like the Saxon Math? Or does it come with the purchase of the program?

If you buy the lifetime bundle it comes included but if you purchase the digital curriculum, you will have to buy the textbooks.
