Drone save was the best ever! I shot Canon 5DMiii forever and finally made the jump to Sony last January and never looked back. I hurt my heart to get rid of almost all of my L glass but it feels great to have all ONE system now. I have the a7iii and 6400 for my light kit. I only buy full frame lenses so they're interchangeable with the two bodies. The a7iii is an absolute beast on so many fronts, especially low light. Good luck on the decision making! Love your channel.

Welcome to Sony! I know you said you guys don't go into "that tech stuff" but I love tech and have been using Sony since the OG A7. The technology is simply unmatched by any other manufacturer. I just started youtube a few weeks ago but the tech is one of the main inspirations and I go indepth into the gear and specs. Can't wait to get my hands on the new a9ii they just announced today. It is an amazing time!

I've been using my Canon 6D for photo and have really enjoyed it, but since my move into making narrative film work, I've found it to be really really lacking in a lot of areas that are crucial to low-budget filmmaking. It sucks in any kind of low light, there's a boat load of noise on the image that I could really do without, and I just desperately want something that shoots at a higher bit-rate and shoots with some kind of log format. Having to cheese the log look with just a flat profile kind of works but only KIND of. I've been heavily considering moving back into the Sony family of systems (my first one was a Sony a6000 that I bought in 2016) because of just how impeccable some of the footage can look coming out of a Sony. Hearing that they absolutely SLAY with photos might just be the tipping point for me to get back in. I've been flopping back and forth between Sony and Canon for years and honestly Sony is just hammering the nail in the coffin lid for camera bodies. I may switch for good soon.

I have been watching you guys non stop and I swear it's what got me through test week in med school! Love you guys!! You really inspire me to take up photographing again! I used to reall really love it but then got demotivated bc I moved back to Brazil and my parents get super mad ate if I pull out my camera bc what if I get robbed? Then I just didn't have anywhere to take photos and time went by and now my camera is super shitty compared to everyone else's... then I bought a mirrorless camera to film youtube videos and stuff but not sure if I could pull it off for pictures... But I will just start taking pictures again! You got my hand itching!! Starting to plan some small photo adventures!! Thank you for being awesome and sorry for the long comment I just love you guys! You two are sooo good, love you guys!! And Chris, oh man, that drone footage, no wait, that drone ‘flying’ was incredible. Yeah yeah, you ended up in the drink, but seriously, the flying was over the top. Is that extra visual control all to do with wearing that head set? And Becki, you deserve a new camera, seriously, you have the eye for great shots. I have the a7III and it’s great, but the a7RIV is likely smokin great. I’m waiting for the a6600 to join my 7III as a great video tag team.

I have a pretty rad camera shop that let me try out the Sony A7RIII for 30 days knowing I would most likely send it back. Day 30 I sent it back. It’s a rad camera I just couldn’t convert on the color and overall odd over sharpened look if the images. I now understand why so many people switch. The eye autofocus is amazing and just seeing your image/exposure in real-time was awesome. But I just couldn’t get over the color when compared to Canon. Plus, I don’t see myself switching to anything for at least another two more years. Getting 6 years ROI on my 2 5D Mark IVs is a great business move.
