I had a good time playing, it was frustrating because I'm pretty bad at retro platformers but the level select really helps out.

the amount of "retro" platforms that actually just lazily made games for producers to crank out is starting to make me sick. (while this is better than most in this category, it still fits the envelope)

Yea Norberd, I do like them though I find a lot of them are mainly just inspired by the retro visuals but have modern gameplay elements. Tanuki Justice does feel a lot more like a classic retro title in its simplicity and difficulty.

Did you say it was like Megaman because it’s a run n gun? Because other than that and having a squat character. Those are the only two things that are similar. Good review though.

I dont actually remember Marquis, its been quite a while since I played it, but for some reason I seem to remember button mashing to kill bosses faster so I dont think so.
