I'd absolutely love the chance to win! Front Mission is a classic franchise, and the second game never got the localization it deserved. I really appreciate the mechanical design language of the Wanzers, since it's different from classic mecha anime but also still very distinct from western robot design (a la Battletech, for example).

My Introduction to "Front Mission" was buying No. 3 on a whim during a family holiday to Scotland, I read the manual every single night in bed absolutely fascinated by the game until I got home and played nothing but for around 4 months til I completed every little bit of the game. I've bought and played everything single one since, even Evolve and Left Alive, I even bought a Japanese PS2 to play Front Mission Online but could never really get the thing to work properly, it's been my favourite RPG series next to the Tales series.

I played the front mission games a ton as a kid, picked up the front mission 1st day physically and absolutely loved revisiting with the modernized visuals... something so satisfying about building your own mechs and wreaking havoc in the arena!! I cannot wait to replay FM2 remaster, hopefully it has a steelbook physical like 1st.

I played FM1 on the Switch when it came out. And I also remember playing Front Mission on my DS back in the day. I've always been a fan of these kinds of strategy games and the level of customization means you can dive in for a quick round or get lost in the detail for hours. Would love to try out the latest entry in the series. Thanks guys.

I love when remake gives an option to get back to original settings and art/music style, which I can see Forever Entertainment included in here. As a mech fan, this game looks like a must-to-play. Especially with surprisingly well written storyline. Thank you for the great review!

I just love the remaster and remakes of Squaresoft classics. This was a period where Squaresoft were at their pinnacle and every release was a banger as they stretched what was possible on the SNES and then explored the new power on the PlayStation. Which is why it was so annoying to see this game and the first only released in Japan. I remember looking at screenshots in magazines and hoping there would be a western release. Here we are all these years later and I finally get my wish. I picked up the first as digital and then just got the physical copy which came with a nice small booklet. Nice detailed review here - I love the character designs and I’m sure the story is great…

Looks fun! Happy to hear that the story is interesting. Obviously the gameplay is the most important thing, but having an engaging story helps motivate you and keeps you excited for what's going to happen next, it makes the whole experience a lot better, IMO.

FM 2 is the best FM game, so yes. Best mechanics, best atmosphere, best plot / scenario, best cast of characters (and the art is gorgeous), best level design… it’s everything a FM game should be.

I remember getting a chance to play the original when I was younger, then I later hacked and modded my PS Vita **long live gaming handhelds!!! Huzzah** to run emulators so I could experience the games that are either no longer available or really expensive now as collectibles. I got the chance to play it even longer and it’s awesome. I’m so glad they were able to remake this game and would love to dive into it again. The 360 turning is a nice addition. Right now it’s the perfect time since it’s been so long I don’t remember most of the game. Great video and thanks for sharing -here’s hoping the for the suikoden HD remasters!!!

I take an unreasonable amount of enjoyment out of listening to old more limited but still creative and wonderful songs get remastered into new pieces without the limitations. Like the little house in Mario party superstars and the remastered songs on display here

While I'm a huge fan of JRPGs and tactical games, I haven't yet played the Front Mission series. I'm so excited that the first two games are finally available to play and on modern hardware. I am enamored by the aesthetics of the game and how sort of grounded the story is. You guys saying that the plot is full of twists and turns only adds to my anticipation!

I played Front Mission 3 on the PSOne to death!! Completed both story arcs and loved it! Currently playing Front Mission 1 which is fantastic to be able to finally experience! I'll definitely be playing #2 when it becomes available!

Front Mission on ds was, after Chrono Trigger, my most played cart. Loved the gameplay, loved the story. I really hope someday “they” remake Front Mission: Gun Hazard. That game is awesome. Can’t wait to play this one though, backlog allowing….

Only ever played front mission 3, very much wanting to play both these remakes. Best thing about this for me is the physical release, with the manual and extras. In the current gaming climate could of easily been a download only title so really appreciate it!

I only played the DS port of first game but I think I'll get either this or 3 for sure. Sometimes a simple remake with small quality of life improvements and clean graphics is enough to bring a title to a new audience. I would pay 60 bucks for a remake of Vagrant Story in this style because that's all it needs.

My brother and I were obsessed with the FrontMission 3 demo on ps1. We would play it over and over. Amazing time! This was in the late 90s early 2000s during the anime mech hype era when shows like Gundam , Patlabor and Robotech were in heavy rotation on Toonami over here in the US. I played a translated copy of Front MIssion 1 but I never seen or heard of Front Mission 2. I would love to win a copy !

I played FM1 back when I was 7 but never got past Hell's Wall. Now I got to play the remake and fully enjoy the experience. As for FM2, I'm excited to be able to play it in English for the first time. The remake models look amazing

I'd actually forgotten about this but I loved the original. My Japanese sister in-law brought it for me back in the day after she and my brother had returned to Japan to see her family, her little brother was also a gamer so gave her some pointers in what to get me. Oh wow! I haven't played Front Mission in a long while. I've played the SNES FM1 original, then the PSOne FM3 and finally the FM1 remake on Nintendo DS. I'm quite happy to learn that the first two FM games have been remade for the Switch. I guess I'll have to check out for myself how the classics (to me, anyway) stood the test of time. :)

I was a big fan of the third game, when discussing the best turn based tactics RPGs on the PS1 back in high school, it would always come down to an argument between Front Mission 3 and Final Fantasy Tactics. Looking forward to playing this one!

This looks nice. Reminds me of Faselei! on the NeoGeo Pocket, which was a great top down tbs rpg.
