I retired and have worked with leather for awhile before this but starting the tooling part. I think you have some of the best easy to follow clear instructions I have found. Thank you for bringing us along.

Thank You Joe for the tutorial . I'm somewhat decent on my stamping but my swivel knife cuts need work . Hopefully I'll improve with my cuts so I can do better projects in the future .

When weting down the leather does it matter the leather thickness and pressure and depth of the cut with the knife ? Just starting out and wating on my tools to arrive. Great info awesom work ant tutorials. Thanks in advance

Question, what’s the correct part to use the rouge on the smooth part of the leather or the rough part?

I think it sticks better to the rough side but I think either work fine.
