Using a microphone would have helped. A teleprompter. Hell, even if this wasn't an apology there would be plenty of room for critique. Even if this was just a message about tour dates or something I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been well received

no way anyone should accept this apology. you guys were the center of my world for 3 years and i spent way too much money,time, and energy on a band i thought supported the same values as i do. Finding out about what was really going on behind the scenes and hearing you try to make excuses and victim blame is disgusting. Stop trying to deflect from what happened by bringing up the accident. These are completely unrelated things. I think people would have been willing to accept this apology if it had come MUCH sooner and if it had sounded even remotely genuine. as much as I used to love SWMRS and as much as the band meant to me back then, after this extremely disappointing 2 years I have no desire to be a part of this community. I’m glad you guys are doing alright and I’m glad to hear about Max’s recovery. I hope we’ve learned a big lesson on misrepresenting ourselves, maybe if you had made it clear from the beginning that you didn’t really care about women’s safety and were just putting up an act people would have been less disappointed. xx
