Unless you "clan it up" working under the thumb of some virtual feudal lord, you're gonna be at a severe disadvantage playing the version of the game that only allows you to have ONE plot. I've already used my extra plots to hunt bears SOLO, no need for a group. You literally CANNOT solo a bear as a new player without extra plot slots. This game is 100% pay to win and once the monthly subscription stuff starts people might even be able to get more than 4 plots which is really going to choke out the players who can't afford them.

You can't solo a bear to begin with. This is not a game for solo players. Go play Valheim. All clan plots are shared if they want. You can have as many plots as your clan has shared...you can place buildings and share everything with your clan if you want. You can mark things private if you don't want others to have access.

The only way to solo anything besides the basic stuff is to cut a tree down, kite them around the tree till they get stuck or aggro them and jump on a rock they can't get on.. other than that, there's no way to solo anything in this game besides the starter boars and wolves.. This game is not meant for solo players. this game is meant for big guilds I would say a minimum of 15 but realistically 30 to 50 and probably upwards of 100 to 200.. You will lose this game playing solo even if you pay $100 for four plots

You can't. If you build a plot on a resource other then trees once they are harvested they DO NOT respawn. They built it this way on purpose. This guys is just talking out his rectum.

Having previously played Eve for about 13 years from near the beginning, I am completely unsurprised these Devs have chosen a player 'tier' system that rewards the whales and the schills over the common 'single plot' player. The history of CCP handing out priceless in game assets, wrecking the economy for their average players and offering valuable information/intel on changes pre-release made it easy mode for their friends. This pattern of treating the average player like crap seems to have followed these Devs from Iceland.

You can set stuff to private or public. IMO I think setting manufacturies to public makes sense if you don't need them at the time. However stuff that produces stuff and stores it might make sense to keep private unelss you want to make it available to your local community. Some people do have things set to public. It makes sense to set atleast one mailbox to public also so things can be dropped off or traded etc. With the economy update it should be interesting to see what happens with that.

I tried to argue in the pax dei subreddit that paying for additional plots is P2W but they of course are simping for the game and don't want to believe it. Which is crazy to me, because the game will surely die if they don't clean up this behavior and fix these issues. I was excited for the game and was going to get early access until I saw the payment tiers. So, they've already lost a customer, and I know I'm not the only one.

the plot system is dumb i play with a group of about 50+ people on rust conan and dayz and we will not touch paz dei purely becos theres no way round walled off areas or what happens if u piss off a clan and they decide to plot around your main base and wall it off so u can never leave only for to give up becos there nothing stopping the infinite plot system i think plots should be 1 use only and a raiding option should be put in place for this game

My biggest concern with this game is that they locked the top level iron in the PVP area. I see PKers camping the resource spawns and trashing any smaller groups who try to get to them The smaller shrines are "revive at the closest shrine" locations for if you die. Also, they REALLY need a recycling system. I should be able to melt down all the chainmail I made to level armor smithing and reuse it

I'm glad I didn't buy the game when I could. It looks amazing but I hatr P2W/P. Its a disgusting preditory practice. There will always be whales and krakens anf for most of us are going to be screwed. Sure its their money and thats fine but designing a game to control and dominate the other players by able to have advantages that you can only get by paying is not cool. An easy fix for most of these is to add a 24 hour wait time after placing a plot and another 24 hour wait before you can place it again

There’s no need to impose such a restriction because the issue with relocating land plots already exists: each province has a set limit on the number of available plots. Sooner or later, when attempting to move a plot, you’ll encounter a message stating that it’s not possible to place it due to the limit being reached.

because some of the better resources are in PVP zones. You will never advance fast enough if you can't get to the resources. i have already seen people building as close as they can to vital ones, even annoyed one group when i walked past their smelting base and got the second tier resources I needed. They popped in and ran around claiming every other node and tried to tell me it was "theirs"

Gamers are an inventive bunch and will always find ways to exploit game mechanics, bugs, glitches, or whatever. Heck even trying selling things that are intended as purely decorative can still be pay to win, look at how people figured out how to exploit rust building skins or how select gun skins make ADSing faster. So yeah ofc you’re right. What I would love to see is if the devs took a page out of Eve online’s book where subscriptions can be traded. It would be pretty awesome if you could trade X amount of pure iron for a month subscription that way yeah there is p2w but players who are poorer but better at the game or better at grinding or better at trading can exploit p2w players to pay for their own progress. Add in things like a painting or sculpting mechanic like rust has with lockable portraits or the new ice sculpting thing and an artistic player can use those skills to profit and it has the trickle down effect of making the world feel more alive and less cookie cutter. Add in resources relevant to it like marble and ice and other stones and woods for carving or using berries and insects to create ink’s and paints and materials to create parchment and canvas and you’ve created a more diverse economic situation. This is how you take p2w and use it to not only fund the game but create a more dynamic world.

Check game called ECO, game is around 20$, you earn more plots by completing challenges, you cant be everything you can only focus on one maybe two professions, and as so is a social game, its not survival, food only boosts you, combat doesnt exist except hunting because its not a pvp game, its voxel based so building is alright, you dont need to grind your ass out to earn and make stuff, resouces are finite though and world is round but that is okay because it emulates real world. Damn i just did a 180 and realised i already own pax dei that is not a grindy scam fest jeez imma go play that now

It has full loot PvP, and entire zerg groups run a stun + damage over time homing fireball meta so you just die if you go there.

The person I'm playing with actually dropped another $100 on an alt steam account just to claim 4 more plots to stop the guilds around us from squeezing us out of the area. Realistically here's some solutions though: Hardware limit on plot placement. This would cost the company money and they'd never do this. Plots should consume resources or a currency. A "money sink" of sorts. Much like how a tool chest in Rust requires materials to keep the base from decaying.

The "win" state is "The gain of some advantage that significantly alters your gameplay experience in a positive way over other players." Having ease of plopping down a "Fortnite" plot to scale mountains, box in players, or gain a height advantage to lame out bears is quite the advantage. Having multiple characters to camp nodes and scout is as well.

Game is already dead (before) on arrival. Game had plenty of potential. I won't open my wallet for Pax Pay. Building only games need something special to stand out. Why whould anyone play this insted of MC, Valheim etc. Heck even MC has bosses. Something PD does not. I say building only because the PvP is such a bad system. Losing ALL your gear on death.
