Thank you so much for this tutorial! I've hesitated making the Betty Bowler because of the drop-in liner. Now I'm gonna go for it!

Tori, I vote you best tutorial teacher on KZbin! I am not quite ready for the Betty bag and will probably watch this several times before attempting it. Thanks for sharing your expertise with sewing. Are you planning on more garments?

What did you use for the seam allowance for putting the gusset together (putting the top panel to the bottom panel)? I did 1/2 an in bc I seen that in the pattern, I’m not sure if that’s the correct seam allowance or not 🤷🏽♀️ but guessing not since my gusset ended up a little smaller then my panels 🤦🏽♀️. The next time I make it. I think I’ll try 1/4in seam allowance. But I LOOOVE this bag! It’s bigger then I thought it would be. I have some super adorable HP fabric from Hapa Fabric & I’ve been hoarding it until I find the perfect bag for it. I also have a panel & 1/2 yard of HP from Miss Mac that I’m also hoarding. I think this bag is gonna end up being the bag I use one of the fabrics on ☺️☺️☺️

I’m not the biggest fan of drop in liners. Idk what it is about them but I just don’t care for them. The closest thing to a drop in liner that I like is the Alaine by Lauren Mormino & idk if that’s technically a drop in liner or not 😂. I REALLY like the style and shape of the Bette Bowler but I wasn’t sure if I was gonna even bother trying bc the drop in liner. Now I definitely will. I’m still struggling with the Brooklyn Bag. They bag just HATES me. I FINALLY got the liner nice, got the bottom on clean with minimal pleating (there was one but I was making the bag for me so I didn’t mind so much considering that was my biggest struggle), then got to the end where I place the pieces on the sides to connect and main connectors started sagging on the sides. I literally cut my hardware off it and threw it in the garage. I was so mad & sad 😂

Thank you for your videos! Cory (sp?) I love watching sewing as well as sewing myself. It's amazing how you can make these bags in 1-2 hours. Sometimes it takes me all day. I do stop and press a lot which is probably unnecessary. Are you on etsy? do you have a website of your own you'd like to share? thanks again

What is unique about this machine and what influences your decision to use it versus your other industrial machine?
@SeamsLegit4 жыл бұрын
I use this machine as it can stitch through thicker stuff than my other, it has the walking foot, and i have the ability to take off the table to sew around curves easier.
