You did an amazing job! I love that you did it without the drop-in lining. 🤯

I have this pattern and am getting ready to cut it out but I have a question. Since the bottom opening is rectangle why is there a rounded bottom piece? Wouldn’t it be better to have a rectangular bottom piece? Thank you the video and the sew a long. I’ve been watching them over and over!

A squared bottom makes it a lot easier to put together when sewing. Rounded corners tend to shift, start pleating and causes gathering. A boxed corner is easier to sew, you pivot at the end of the panel & continue on sewing, less shifting (it still can shift, just not as bad) & a lot less pleating, getting smoother corners. Hope that helps explain it a little better.

What foam did you use? Yours doesn’t look as thick as what I used.

Can you still make it this way with no drop-in lining if you keep the front pocket from the original pattern?

Yes! You’ll just close the inside opening from the outside, hand stitched or machine stitched.
