Farmer Al Falfa is 100 years old as of Oct. 1915. He was in well over a 100 cartoons, mostly as the star. How he did it I will never know but bravo Farmer Al. Just as he was vanishing from studio cartoons (although he had a couple of revivals in Heckle and Jeckl) he got brand new life for a decade or so on 1950s TV cartoon kid shows. He also had a modest career in comic books around the same time. KZbin probably can't be called a revival, but here he is again as irascible as ever.

This cartoon makes fun of Frank Sinatra 1915-1998 who was a popular singer during World War II. The teenage Bobby soxers were entranced by ol' blue eyes. A lot of men were drafted during the war, and Sinatra channeled the young women horniness. Sinatra was 4-f for the draft because, he had a busted eardrum . A lot of G I's hated Sinatra, because they thought he was a draft dodger. A lot of cartoons made fun of Sinatra,by having the ladies swooning and melting because of "Frankie"! Sinatra got the last laugh at his critics,because he is considered the greatest singer of all time.
