Sao was sao when season 1 was released. After the second arc it became weird really quickly. But yeah I wished season 1 brought us closer to their character development. Also I dislike the amount of harem happening. But I do agree if this was really a romantic anime it wouldn’t be their intention anyways.

I miss eugeo and the battle was really good a fitting battle for the ending of alicization. @@bangtanparty Haha, ALTHOUGH I do not see an adaptation happening until like 2025, but there is a slight chance of that being slightly earlier (2024) Reki would be pushing his huge schedule if so BUT IM EXTREMELY EAGER for the next step in SAO, I am not too fond of Progressive because I am the type of person that rather go forward rather than backwards. This is because of the connection I have built with new characters like Alice, Ronye, Tiesse, and the integrity knights. Which are most likely dead, sadly. But I favor Alice the most she is so cool. It is also confirmed that in the novels, Ronye and Tiesse deepfreeze themselves when Kirito left so they can see him again. SO IM HAPPY about that, I legit loved them. Selka also, they are supposed to be a bit older now.

i remain firm in my stance that sao will eventualy reach the point that vr will distort reality even just for a short time. With alicization the question of what does it mean to be real and artifical seems to have been talked about so logicly the idea that it will reach the extreme to ask "what is real" would not be too much of a jump.

It may just be a tease in the end, but I'll take the Announcement Trailer showing Asuna before SAO itself begins as a positive sign. And if they're going to add much extra content, I really hope they don't go beyond Progressive Volume 3 in the initial run. I'm really not counting on them doing another ~50-episode run for this right off the back of Alicization. And again, one can only hope that they are more cognizant of the details after having done the quick run through Aincrad the first time around.

No. We are getting Progressive Movie for the first floor, Aria of a Starless Night this year in Spring/Summer. We'll likely get another movie for the second floor, Rondo of a Fragile Blade in 2022. With Progressive 7 coming out in March, there will be 5 more floors for the movies to cover (and more will come during that time) whereas Unital Ring is still very far from completion to actually be adapted into anything.

The key point there is that it's built with the Seed. The game engine that generates content when needed. It was always implied that Underworld was small and the inhabitants were never even supposed to go outside of the gigantic walls covering Underworld (that you could see back in Episode 20&21, I even pointed it out in 20 I believe). But once it's crossed, the Seed takes care of the rest as the game generation engine that it is.

#AskGamerturk When I first started Reading SAO back in 2018 the story and setting really interested me but now when I think about the setting of the story it feels weird. Especially now because I started reading Progressive. The Story of SAO starts in 2022 and when the time is getting closer to that year the feeling of reading the story changes. At first, it felt like a near-future Sci-fi story and now it's not even the near future, It's the present. (And here we are fighting a console war over 2 Teraflops) And from the way the story is going, it won't end before 2022 and even if the main SAO LN series ends, progressive is still left. And my question is How will the story and how we as an audience perceive it change after 2022? Think of a person reading the SAO LN series in 2027. It won't be a future Sci-fi then. I don't know if I expressed this weird feeling of disappointment and depression but I wanted to know your opinion on this. But then again just as a self-proclaimed savior once said Reality is often disappointing...

imma say this. I feel like they really overused Eugeo in the power up sequences of War of the Underworld part 2, it was basically like whenever Kirito needed any help whatsoever Eugeo just popped up and basically made his death meaningless. Like yeah, he may be actually dead, but he helped Kirito in his fights so much he was basically still alive. Even as devastated as Kirito in the aftermath for the loss of Eugeo I just didn't really feel that much sadness because he kind of felt like a really cheap plot device used to allow Kirito to win. It didn't feel very rewarding to see Eugeo say "U got dis Kirito" like 5 times to help him, it more just felt like, "Oh Eugeo's back again to hold up a sword, great". It ended up being redundant and mostly unfulfilling, at least for me.

I'll answer this: Yes, Johnny Black's attack was totally random. The anime didn't show it for some BS reason, but he got arrested almost immediately after the attack. A police officer followed the blood trail from his knee where Kirito stabbed him with the umbrella.

If the answer is incarnation and the visualizer, then how does Kirito have the Night Sky and Blue Rose swords? Shouldn't they have their durability reduced for that long, unless Kirito replenished them of course. Would their accounts have increased in level between then and now?

His less experienced self did nothing different than SK, because that's all they could do. The reason they could not kill it was because they had no way of chasing the small parts the Abyssal Horror separates into, which is taken care of by Alice.

Have you not listened to their dialogues where they referred to each other as "Laurannei and Stica" and not "Ronye and Tiese"? The source material for SAO is the Light Novel series.

I re watched sao season 1 and I realized that they should have just stopped there, or honestly kept the subject on sao or something. It’s like they completely changed the main direction on how this show was supposed to go and made it more about the Alicenzation. They should have focused this movie on the underworld more let alone sword art online because the complete twist to gun gale then to another switch up gets to much for me lmao.

Season 4 does not exist yet. The entire Alicization is Season 3. Source material for SAO is not Manga but the Light Novel series by Reki Kawahara.

SAO Progressive just got announced if you count that. Although its just a retelling of the first arc of the series. The next main arc of the story is Unital Ring if you somehow didn't hear that by now. A1-Pictures is dedicated to animate SAO content since it's crazy popular and makes them a lot of money. But don't expect season 4 to come anytime soon. As mentioned in the video, Untial Ring arc is not even half way done. Let alone the amount of time it'll take to animate the arc since it'll have the same quality as the alicization arc or better.
