Hard to beat the god tier hype of the last few episodes to finish off the underworld but this was an overall good episode to wrap up the ocean turtle side of things aside from the freaking cuts yet again... ugh 😩 I will say watching Gabriel get dragged down by Alicia was quite terrifying and left with a scared stiff corpse was a chilling, what a fitting end for that freaking creepy POS. I am just going to jump right to the best part and that was the very end, that moment between Asuna and Kirito was perfect, while there was no kiss that scene was beautiful between Asuna beautiful smile and her saying 1000 years is nothing as long as she is with him and the gorgeous scene of her wings folding out and showering feathers over them before they fly off together, seriously that was enough for me, tbh you don’t need a kiss to see the love between those two after watching that... QOTD- that is by far the hardest question yet... I would have to go with there moment in the cabin when Asuna is looking down at him in bed

Perfect upload timing, I just finished the episode on Crunchyroll. All I really have to say is Kayaba went from Heathcliff of The Divine Blade to: A.K.A. Voltron The Power Ranger Headass A.K.A. Busted Ass Optimus Prime A.K.A. Broken Down Robocop Oh, and Kirito’s lucky AF that Asuna isn’t a crazy jealous psycho. 200 years with your girlfriend would turn most guys from Kirito to Gabriel in terms of sanity. True! Don't know why but this season I just can't watch it if after that I don't have a Foxen video after to fully explaining it. I think they cut sooooooooo much, that sometimes it's too much confusion... This ep was one of the worst. When they called Akihiko to the robot I spend almost 5 min to understand that was Kayaba (only when she said about Hearthcliff that I fully understand) the other was when they body count and notice they miss a body (especially because they needed to catch that black guy under Kiko fire... was unlikely) say that the captain is missing and not saying his name nor showing the body, I was really confused if it was mister-tree-body or mister-I-go-with-the-ghosts-that-I-made. ALL HAIL TO FOXEN! The hero that every SAO fan needs!

This was a great episode but let's be honest my favorite part of this episode was when A Tender Feeling started playing because I was so hoping they were going to use that beautiful piece of music (and so relieved/happy they did as it was the perfect time to use it). It was such a great and beautiful KiriSuna scene all around, and which gave me slight S1 vibes even though no kiss scene was sneaked in here. It definitely made me tear up as KiriSuna always does.

Other than the ending scene, my favorite part would either be when Gabriel got dragged down with Alicia or when Kayaba had a little Kirito moment by coming back for another push and pulling off the bomb. When I first watched the episode, I forgot to check for an end scene and was kind of disappointed when I wasn’t getting and update on the underworld. I can’t tell you how happy I was when I realized I forgot and I felt so much better about this episode after I watched it. It may have not had a kiss scene, but it completed the episode to me. QOTD: I think my favorite scenes with Asuna and Kirito are their time spent with Yui in their cabin during SAO, and this scene because the three of them are like the perfect family, and Kirito and Asuna make an amazing couple, and I want more of that.

Honestly, I was worried they were going to cut more than they did. Removing inner monologue, sadly, is par for the course. I think the beauty of the relationship Kirito and Asuna have is the range of interactions we get to see between them. Also, there's another scene of theirs I'm hoping to see next week that could be well up on the list if the anime includes it. Anything in particular you're thinking about with regards to possible anime-original content in the Epilogue?

@@fangi6885 We might get a brief flashback, but Kirito and Asuna only remember up to about a month after the War. Moon Cradle isn't going to be included in this season, so we'll almost certainly have to wait a while to get something more extensive, if that story arc gets adapted. It is kind of important to the context of portions of Unital Ring, so again, here's hoping we get Moon Cradle at some stage.

I have 2 moments Kirito/Asuna that I appreciate the most (without order, both are great in different ways, BTW both from SAO S1): 1 - When Kirito showed Asuna how beautiful and good is been alive in SAO world, just resting beneath a tree, Asuna complaining and then she fell asleep longer than Kirito himself (priceless! xD) 2 - The full sequence when Kirito spend a night at Asuna SAO house before they married there (a more intimate moment but still one of (if not) the best)

I think that the did the same thing as Quinella, sleep for long periods of time, so that their fluclight won't take on too much data. Maybe Reki will write more stories about Kirito and Asuna's time in Underworld, like he did with the Aincrad saga. Only hope that he will resume the progressive saga soon. Waiting for book 7.

But did I hear you correctly, Vassago might still be alive? Hrm, where *did* his body go? How could it do anything with his soul "rooted" in the Underworld now? Guess that'll be covered in the finale, since the next episode seems to be focusing on Alice. As for the best Kirito-Asuna scene, the last conversation says it all. Asuna is willing to endure a thousand years as long as Kirito is by her side. Now that's true loyalty and true love, none of the others can hold a candle to her in that category.
