I'm so excited for The First Day to be animated. Not only does it show how cruel SAO was it also shows just how human Kirito is. It shows that he's just a teenager trapped in a death game, how he gets the biggest reality check of the century, and how risky it was for solo players. It was one of the stories that made me appreciate Kirito's character more and shows Reki's true potential as a writer.

I love how you used 'Story of the Past' from Ordinal Scale at the beginning and the end of the trailer. I think it reflects the present becoming the past and the past becoming the future. Taking us back to the very beginning of Kirito's journey. A nice touch~!

Great video! Goosebumps for me. It fires me up to watch Progressive if I would have the time to. I just hoped that it was complete but well it's great, after all, War of Underworld is still part of Alicization. It also lacks Calibur and Mother's Rosario but it is fine too. Making the clips by putting it on reverse-chronological order is great. From Alicization, then Ordinal Scale, next Phantom Bullet, then Fairy Dance, and lastly Aincrad. It just make me remember every episodes I've watched until now then the future episode/s of SAO series.

If you check the Making Of livestream I made for this trailer, the lack of Calibur and MR are intentional. The entire trailer is designed to be about Kirito's journey. Mother's Rosario has nothing to do with Kirito, and Calibur is more of a wholesome team adventure, rather than something that can be defined as "Kirito's journey". So the two were left out as a result.
