Appreciate you outlining the differences betwixt the S&W book and the box set, which'll allow people to make a good call on which to get. I'm sticking with the book since there aren't any rules revisions and only aesthetic art/format differences. Plus I rather prefer the old school basic edition homage cover art on the book, but that's me.

Thanks to you Jeff I bought this box set.Which is still available on Amazon. Even though in 2024 there is completely large cover version as well. I love the boxed version,

Nice Review! I like the hardback a lot better I think, still i might get it just to have a boxed set. I would like you to review some of the D&D 5E retro clones like Five Torches Deep and Into The Unknown but I have no idea if those games would have enough interest in them to justify the time and effort. Keep it up man! doing a Great job!

I know that DM is copyrighted, but did the term DM exists in O? Maybe calling them Referees is actually more historically accurate.

Ooooh. I definitely want this box set. It's just so sexy. I really love having an all in one box that I can take with me on trips. I have had SO many pick up games that fall in my lap, so I like having something like this. Also: You have THE WORST LUCK when it comes to recieving dice!!

I wish that it had a DM's screen. Not impressed by a pad of character sheets, especially since a piece of notebook paper would work.

Looks great, but it costs over 40EUR shipping to Europe and this is even without taxes :/ I would buy it if there was a european distributor... but over 100EUR is just too much.

oh man. I cant believe the art in the monster book actually got worse. Dissapointing. Im glad I didnt back.

The box art is weird, not very interesting, and can't even tell what's happening... definitely a fail.
