Aegis ditto is like 80:20 for the one who is first to get the momentum going. Sparg0 made a smart decision to go Cloud, but I think his mental was shattered after losing to Leo with his own character, thus not playing at his peak. Cosmos however has reached to another level with Aegis and it shows. Only if he didn't do so much of those poorly judged Fsmashes and didn't panic at disadvantage, he would be a consistent threat. His reactions (Much like Sparg0's) have always been immaculate, which is like the only thing that holds Mythra back with any other player.

I saw sparg0’s tweet and I was very sad because I saw his mental crushed watching this set live and it felt like he didn’t want to play anymore. This is one of the toughest challenges for a young smasher. Anyways: The year is 20AA. Nobody plays joker anymore and everyone switched to aegis and optimized to TAS levels of top tier dlc privilege at their best, optimizing flier fundies in neutral as mythra and using pyra’ a down air to ultilize her best options. They only get better and better as time progresses and they will dominate the meta soon.

This was honestly such a tragic set for Sparg0: it was easy to see that his mental state was out of it after such a long night and after getting 3-0’d so convincingly by MKLeo in Winner’s Finals. This isn’t anything against Cosmos, as he is also insanely good at this game, as this tournament run proved. But I truly believe Sparg0 is the better player between the two, something I feel was showcased when Sparg0 was still playing at 100% in their Winner’s match (that double zero-to-death is probably the most insane clip in Smash history). Still though, even with this loss, Sparg0 has yet to finish less than third at any major he’s attended for who knows how long. He’s still easily #2 in the world in my mind: you can’t just luck your way into that kind of consistency. It may not have been SWT, but I’m certain he’ll be getting his major win soon.

I don't know. I like how the character functions in ultimate. The general character kit designs in Ultimate are fucking wack and not in the good way that you have Mythra and Pyra mix-up their normal/tools, have tons of unique combos, a reasonable recovery, and some unique defensive mechanics. Instead, it's Tons of OP recoveries, OP disadvantage tools, a single move being so good that characters spam them 24/7 of the time, ridiculous comeback mechanics, early kill combos from a grab, characters like bayo sheik and inkling that take forever to kill with.
