Yea, "Funnery Commando" is definitely more FUN! I hit a 102K Crit with my Votex Bolt, which made me squeal with joy! Also, what are your thoughts on the "Second Wind Package" Legendary? The heal seems nice for PvE especially, and the speed boost in PvP.

CLASS CHANGES FOR 7.3 The Random Charge Legendary Implant has been redesigned and renamed to Overcharged Cells. It now does the following: Priming Shot / Vortex Bolt, Thermal Detonator / Assault Plastique, and Healing Scan / Advanced Medical Probe generate 3 Supercharges. This effect has a rate limit of 15 seconds. Should i still take? :o

Hey Mark, I don't know if you will answer my question since i know you're not into swtor any longer. The quesiton is why use Proficient Gravitation on lvl 23 instead of the one you advise for pvp since you can get more damage with the second one. How is the 0.2sec gain relevant ? Thanks in adavance ;)

Hello! In my experience, the extra critical damage is more useful than the faster cast, just because PvP is way more focused on burst damage than sustain damage. If you're running into energy problems it can absolutely be useful, but I'm always a big numbers lad myself. The 50% vortex bolt + burning bright tactical is just too much fun and burst damage for me to give up. HOWEVER there's nothing wrong with playing around, and if you like the speedier casts I say go for it!

Oh yea. Every time I use the gas canister thing to push myself back i get stuck in walls. I assume it happens to me a lot cause I live in Australia playing at 300 ping :(.

It's a workible damage spec for Class Story, Heroics, Solo mode of Kotef/kotet and SM/HM Ops but no more then that.

Gunnery is still my primary dps class. I am saddened that for ANOTHER expansion, the dps is on the low side of the dps tier. At some point they have to let Havoc Squad wreck havoc on things

Assault outperforms gunnery by a fair margin atm. Gunnery's dps is, unfortunately, very underwhelming at the endgame.

I've been driving a gunnery commando since the game dropped. With 7.0 my DPS (Single target, AOE the Gunslingers are killing everyone) was still near the top for my guild's raid team. Since 7.1 I am ahead of everyone with the same gear level. My PVE tree is similar except 43 I go with overclock to improve my APS. 51 I go with Cell Capacitor to improve the resource mitigation as I should not be taking significant damage with my tanks doing their job.

whats your IR? im curious about learning the spec. btw do you play assault specialist too?

@@mramo11 IR is at 331. Fully augmented with about 1/2 of the augs being 300 and the rest 286. I do not normally do Assault Specialist, my alternate DPS spec is Tactics Vanguard. If you ever want to find me, I run with the Blades of the Republic on Star Forge.

Yeah I'm new to swtor but doesn't increasing all ranged damage by 5% seriously increase your rdps and make it so you always want a commando in raid for that debuff?

Not a lot of damage counts as "ranged" so the debuff doesn't help much. Damage types are complicated but basically ranged is melee/kinetic/"white"/weapon based, and more of that damage can be avoided by various mechanics. Additionally, the classes that deal the most ranged damage are classes like this one, which are considered bottom tier in the meta. So you buff the worst type of damage, dealt by no one else in the raid because everyone else is running Force users or melee tech and doesn't do ranged typed damage.

I wish the dummy had two others 1 on each side. That way we can see our aoe burn if we get aoe burn. Atleast while testing to choose between the specs. Maybe more important for new players learning 🤔 🤷
