can you please tell me why people, or you put a gcd or a cull between dots on viru and is takedown or lethal shot better ( bcs sometimes people use takedown and sometimes ignore and cast lethal shots in a row ) pls ?

Hey Eksdi I do a 2 cull rotation as virulence (after the 2nd cull you reapply dots (a gcd apart) before the 3rd). The reasoning for this is so your dots never go gray (meaning they dont tick dmg unless the target gets culled). It is slightly better in terms of dps.

@@eksdi4605 Again, I do a 2 cull rotation (meaning you apply dots before the third cull) and the reasoning for applying dots a gcd apart is to make sure your dots never go gray. It's slightly better in terms of dps. As for takedown you only use it outside of viral elements (lethal shot > takedown > lethal shot) but when you have viral elements up you spam lethal shots. Hey Scooby I am just coming over from Mara to Virulence sniper and Im really stuck on how this spec/class works and I was wondering if you would be able to give me a few tips Im mainly stuck on the rotation I need to follow and how this class is suppose to work compared to some other classes! Wow a sniper God. I'm newer to the class but I'm planning to main vir/df rn, I see good numbers in starparse but im curious what vir is parsing right now and what gear you're in. Thanks for any info! Keep slayin!

Hey Episkey, at the moment dirty fighting gunslinger is parsing at around 30k dps and virulence sniper is at roughly 29-30k dps. As for my gear I'm rocking with 2700 alacrity, 2300 crit, and 2706 accuracy. I hope this helps!

Yo Scooby, I heard you are one of god tier snipers in a past for pvp or even now. And since even 7.0 came I really would like to know your opinion: 1) how does sniper feels for you currently? 2) what's the best sniper spec for each situation like solo, ops, flash points, pvp 3) will we see some pvp videos in the future or builds with your explanations and tips, since there are not a lot of people are posting relevant content 😀

Hey Alexander, I appreciate the comment. I haven't been doing much pvp since the release of 7.0 but in terms of pve sniper is pretty strong and in a nice place the one thing some snipers would need to adjust to is the loss of cover bar but to be honest it doesn't take that make time. Currently the best sniper spec in terms of pve is virulence. I have heard some good things about engi sniper in pvp but again I have yet to really try things out so I can't say for certain. Once I get to it I will hopefully put some pvp videos up on sniper this expansion. I hope this helps!

@@scooby6661 I've just tried whole day as pvp engineer sniper and yes it's comfortable and good + your build for virulence, top DPS easy ).. sad that marksmanship is not useful(

@@TemporaryChannelName Generally been doing the same. I think just getting into NiM for the first time or getting back into it without connections is going to be hard right now. That said, if you can get into a lot of discord servers, you can typically find people looking for some fills for some of the legacy NiM stuff (at least on Satele Shan). Haven’t really leveled toons on Star Forge yet, but I’d imagine it’s mostly the same deal.
