“We feel the same about our dozer as well! Your review was spot on, especially with how you highlighted the key features. We’re constantly encountering situations where the automatic functions are a game changer. To put it simply: we wouldn’t go back to a regular machine (without GPS). Our 2022 Komatsu D51PXi paired with the 2016 Komatsu PC360LCi is an unbeatable combo!”

I definitely like the komatsu dozer over any other for the operator view. 👍👍👍👍

Can you do more pipe videos? Like how you guys set up your lasers and working the first pipe out of a manhole?

I’m wondering does the dozer spin much or is it pretty sure footed it looks well balanced with the rippers
@heathguntyler2 ай бұрын
The I machine will raise the blade automatically if it senses track spin. You can run it in manual if needed.

I have ran the d4/5k and the 51 and 39 on the same 15-20% slopes. I will tell you brother those komatsu’s flat track backing up those slopes instead of getting up on the sprockets. Both those machines were rentals without rippers, which sold me on this machine essentially. 🤦♂️

Does the tint help with the glare from the sun when the windows are dusty and working into the sun?
@Sy-Con2 ай бұрын
Couple of reasons for me 1. Arkansas summers suck… and it helps keep that cab cool the 8-9 months out of the year the sun is scorching on us. Those cab filters and cooling systems get expensive to keep going thru the year… If the operator is cooler and less tired he will be there longer. 2. Operator fatigue, you can 100% let your eyes rest more thru out the day. Cuts the glare by 70-80%. 3. It looks sick…😅
@mikeznel60482 ай бұрын
@@Sy-ConIt does look sick. I’ve noticed the air conditioners in the 51s are finicky. And I bet the tint helps working in the sun. I don’t like to wear sunglasses when I doze unless it’s just pushing or cutting. Doubt the guys I work for would ever consider tinting windows for operator comfort. They don’t have to sit in it for 10-12 hours a day.

Here on the west coast it's rare to see a dozer without rippers Also doesn't John Deere have an integrated grade control I wonder if It's comparable to the komatsu? There is a KZbin channel called Socal Earthmovers if you don't know about it already check it out there is a video where they're reverse ripping

Smart grade is coming along way for sure. Know a the main designer involved with it actually. It was definitely behind the times 2/3 years ago… they are revamping quickly though. Not much of a jd fan, and haven’t ever been a fan of their dozers.🙃🤷♂️😬 I will check the vid out my guy!

@@Sy-Con The only issue that I see with the smaller cat dozers the D1 through say D5 the flat track Cat dozers is that if you look at where the hydraulic lines are going into the cylinders for the blade they're on the bottom side of the cylinder near the tracks and you would have thought that they would have come in from the top so that the hydraulic lines were out of the way and not subject to getting hit by something caught up in the track
