I remember being moved on hearing he passed away. A workmate relieved me from my shift at 2am and the first thing he said before anything was Syd Barrett Died. He leaves his legacy here in Sydney 😌👍☮️

Syd Barett was a talented, gifted young man. Unfortunately, he was a drug addict. He had the wrong friends. Founded Pink Floyd in 1965. Kicked out in 1968!!! Released two solo albums in 1970... Toured with the group Stars in 1972... That was a catastrophe... Syd Barett was on the verge of schizophrenia... Psychiatry wasn't ready at the time... Syd Barett didn't want to do therapy... A tragedy for the whole Barrett family... His two solo albums should have been released with the musical treatment of Pink Floyd, played, then they would have been musically better... I'm interested in how Syd Barett lived with his illness??? Unfortunately, there are no more books in German...

Can you tell me who the main presenter is here? I've written a song about Syd and I use a portion of this presentation in it. Your help is much appreciated.

Private Eye has brilliant political satire; they are hopelessly stupid when it comes to decrying Syd, as they appeared to.

I don't know why they attribute the success of the PF to Syd, which wasn't his, as he didn't participate in the 70s

Gilmour, when he replaced him, modeled his guitar playing on Syd's, before lapsing back into the blues.
