Hi! I recommend you to find the place from domain for the private apartments or flatmates. Flatmates mostly offer a shared place to stay, but if you’re lucky you can get the private apartments just the same as what happened to me. Also, apartment is fully furnished. Good luck with your studies here!

Hi! Do you mind telling us how was ur journey to rent the place? Did you travel to Syd to do the inspection?

I found this place through flatmates. I’m quite lucky since I didn’t do any inspection for this. The owner gave some pictures and videos showing how the place looks like. After some discussions, I decided to pay for the deposit for this place. It was 2 weeks before my arrival in Sydney. Then, I received the key by the time I arrived here. My experience might be different from others, but I suggest you to do the inspection first before deciding to choose a place. It can be an online inspection if you are out of Sydney!

It’s a private apartment. I recommend to stay at Kingsford / Randwick if you want to be close to the campus!

$2k is expensive but can be paid for by most people in non-minimum-wage jobs in Australia… not just corporate jobs, also baristas and construction workers. It would still take up a massive chunk of your income tho
