I like almost all the purples shades but I'm finding out I'm not a royal purple with black base fan. I end up buying them and bit using them. I have several brands formula and I never end up using them past a swatch

@@KendraMorgan I’m similar! I think I like the idea of it, but on the occasions I find myself veering towards purples I mostly just end up reaching for a light pastel, pink leaning one.

THE most qualified person on YT to do this video. Thank you for the thorough review, even investigating the removable magnetic pans. Interested in your thought process in choosing the light versions. I chose a combination of light and dark versions and am totally second guessing myself.

I actually didn’t grab any of these…I felt overwhelmed in deciding on ONE since they were all somewhat similar stories…and then when I did decide, I looked at it and decided that I probably had shades close to anything in the palette. Honestly I think a big part of it was that the launch was hyped for so long that I was almost over it before it had begun. 🤷🏻‍♀️ your swatches looked gorgeous though, and great comparisons as always ❤️

This is EXACTLY what I think. I am pretty confused about my feelings on this one. A part of me wants them, but then I think: 1. I probably can dupe them. 2. SG while I like their shimmers, they aren't at the top of my list, I'd pick Devinah, Terramoons and Clionadh over them, and this collection is shimmer heavy for a brand that's loved for their mattes, not their shimmers. I feel like I could buy and be so disappointed at how wearable and "normal" they might be. Even more so if they turn out to be exact dupes to other shadows in my collection. 3.The three color stories look so much like variations of the same colors. This didn't need to be 3 palettes really. I should try to dupe them probably, so I can kill the urge.

Alex, based on what you share with us on IG, I feel you would be highly disappointed if you purchased the collab collection. I was really frustrated trying to keep all the palettes apart from one another and if it hadn't been for that gold I would be confused between all three altogether. Given who the vollab is with, I can definitely understand why Christine really felt all those shadows were very special for the collection. She's big on dupes and similarities but she's able to do that because she really sees the differences and the uniqueness in each shadow which is what I believe makes her so good at that blog. So it makes sense. Now, to the average consumer, I don't think all 3 are necessary. For you. However, I don't feel there's anything insanely special like you find from Cliondah and Bechy Beauty 😉. I recommend sydney grace because they're well rounded and I don't have to worry about if a subscriber doesn't have a internet glue to get the effect a Devinah shade may require. I would say they're a little more user friendly but with that, comes some set backs in the sense they're not stand out shadows. I hope you got to see some similar shades in my collection and maybe use them for your dupe palettes. If you do, be sure to share them on IG bc I'd be extremely interested to see what you come up with!

@@KendraMorgan I love the brand, I own eyeshadows from them and their matte formula is in my top 3👌🏼 Tiara is one of my fave shimmers. Having said that, indeed they are more on the wearable spectrum, beginner friendly, etc. Which is exactly why I feel I might be disappointed if I purchase. But a part of me also thinks “what if they surprise you and you love the collection?”. Like I said, I’m very confused 😂 I’m literally watching you video again and freezing on the swatches. I’m duping as we speak. I’m about to share on IG via stories for now ;) But I’ll shoot a proper post that would come tomorrow maybe?

I think if you have Milkie Way from the temptalia palette, it should more than satisfy the shadows needs. The greatest gift is similar in transparency to winter garden, I really think Milkie way is more of what you're looking for in terms of consistency and opacity

The Temptalia set with Sydney Grace is definitely going to be one of those underrated releases that I will be using and talking about for at least the next decade as some of my favorite things. It took me awhile to warm up to the palettes because some of the criticisms (the shades across the palettes seemed too alike; the cover art was detracting from the actual shade presentation, etc.). However, when I started to see KZbinrs swatching these, I was blown away by each and every palette - I went from struggling with which one palette to get to getting all three!!These colors are truly beautiful yet still grounded and very wearable. Live swatches is what sold me on these palettes. Not surprising this is what made me want to get all the new Huda mini palettes, especially Jaguar and Python - BUT I AM NOT GETTING ANY OF THEM - Thanks to you Kendra Morgan Official, I'm going to do comp of those as they are not nearly as exciting as the live swatch demonstrations that Huda put out - but they are inspiring for us single shadow collectors. (btw, love the video you did of the Jaguar dupe! -I That video inspired me to go through and watch your entire Sydney Grace playlist.)

Awww thank! Yeah I really loved the SG x temptalia collection and since she did a great job cross referencing singles you could buy instead of the palette I'm free to use the shadows as singles bc we have such a great library of similar shades one could purchase if needed!!! Yeah, really loved Huda's campaign but at the end of the day, it's still just pressed powder and once we all start seeing through the smoke and mirrors, these brands will start shifting more money into the quality and not so much money into the actual marketing (which is what I feel Huda did for the WILD collection)

Yes that's definitely your kind of shadows. It was my least favorite. I saw Mel Thompson rearrange her shadows into more of the same colors and separate into 3 different palettes that way and I think that might help me get some more use because right now they seem a but cumbersome to me.

Thanks for this video and showing all the swatches and comparisons. These palettes look very nice, On the Horizon probably appeals to me the most. But with my stash of singles and the EL, I won't be picking any of these up. I have plenty already and have kind of told myself no more palettes this year, of course that could change but I am trying to hold firm. Nice job.

I did a fee comparison shadows I had in my collection. Thought about comparing what temptalia had marked as similar but she does have all those swatches and shade comparisons on her blog. Dunno if this would be as useful as it would be to just go and see her comparisons (I believe she gets every single shade)

I was curious about the Deep version of Quintessence but ended up not getting it. I can actually dupe it, its just that I have the colors all over the place. I think they failed at selling this collab actually; There was barely any looks around to get excited about, only those one eye pictures from Temptalia's blog :S Then a few KZbinrs did some ho hum looks and that was it. The most attractive looks I saw on Ytuber Kelsey Briana, and that was it. I didnt like the others. Idk why temptalia didnt do full face shots, or a photoshoot with maybe a friend to show some looks.

You know, that very well may be it. I kinda didn't know the entire vision from a makeup perspective. I saw the eye looks and I got the northern lights inspo but really nothing else. I think maybe that it's a Temptalia style of palette collab. She was very informative, very comparing and a little bit of makeup to go with it. I suppose that's kinda her style! But I agree, I somewhat feel the vision is a bit left too open to interpretation.

I think if you own many SG singles you dont really need these palettes - they do have many similar shades. I was expected more difference but then again Im not a pre made palette kinda gal. Thats "my issue " with SG - they have too many of some similar shadows and then lack different colors in the same color family. Like they have blue-green-aquas a ton and not a single periwinkle/sky blue. And so on. The new temtpalias shadow single Dear reader is 99% same as SG Always Yours and that similar shade in the palette (Temptalia ?). The lighter lilac shade could be very similar to SG shadow Happy accident. I dont have time to go through SG website or my collection but believe me there are more very similar ones there.

Yes! I agree. I couldn't believe how many similarities I found within my own collection and I'm not a huge jewel toned fan. I couldn't imagine with taste right up those palettes alley, what single doubles there would be!! I think 36 "singles" with magnetic palette holder was good for that price point though. Trade off- you don't get to pick the shades 🤣🤣🤣

I bought the whole collection in Light. I saw the overlap in shadow colors/tones, and I have a huge number of SG singles (seriously), but decided that I love SG so much I wanted it all :) It’s also pretty affordable considering the $20 off three and using a discount code I was all in for about $90 (I also added in a single shadow called Dear Reader by Temptalia). Totally justifying my purchases (in my head to appease my conscience 🤣), these shadows will also aid in duping/comping new palette releases that I feel good passing up. Good deal, right?!!! I know you get this as you help me so much in this regard!

Yes, the color story is a bit confusing..I almost think they were designed to be purchased as just one palette. That you dont.need all of them bc the vibes are very strong and the looks I get keep ending up similar.
