Hi Sue, I know the chances of you reading this may be small, but I just wanted to say thank you. You have been such a huge role model to me as I have gone through some of the toughest years of my life. Our shared love for basketball is what made me take interest in your career. But as I watched more interviews you have done and read articles about you, it made me realize how more important you are to me. Watching and reading your story about coming out and coming to terms with who you truly are has made me feel like I can do the same. You gave me confidence to be true to myself and to do the hardest thing in my life.. accept my sexuality. You have truly changed my life. It has been an honor to have such a trail blazer like you not only in the sport of basketball but a trailblazer for women. The impact that you have had on my life has meant more than you could ever imagine. Thank you for all that you have done for female athletes, but most importantly young women.
