Had an Indian meal over the road from Edgecliff Station the very last time I was in Sydney. Stayed at the Vibe Hotel at Rushcutters. Sadly closed and being converted into apartments. It was great staying just next to the park and the bay. We walked from our hotel through the park and all the way up and over to Double bay.

@@hwtours no didn't see that. More scope when I'm back. Staying at friends in North Sydney when back over early next year. We too did the same when walking over to Doublebay, gorping at the rich people's homes, had to be done.

Renata Blauel: thought it a bit strange at the time but hey ho. Piss up in a brewery , bunfight in a bakery are the usual addages we use for incompetent people but "can't forecast sun in the desert" is sheer class, hope you don't mind if I use that one from now on. Oh, it's two thirds of the way into our autumn here: grey, foggy, wet, windy - so just like our summer!

@@hwtours The Met office here in the UK has a tendency to be overly pessimistic in my opinion as they don't want to be blamed for getting it wrong. Back in 1987 a weather presenter, on the BBC, assured a concerned veiwer not to worry about a rumoured hurricane about to hit the UK. The following day a hurricane made a right mess of the South East of the country:) My grandfather was pretty good at forecasting though - he'd just say it will be wet, if not dry for the following day. Turns out he was right all the time. As far as this coming winter is concerned I reckon it'll be mild like usual.

@@vinbar35 Yeh you guys get some doozies over there. The last time I was there I crossed over the Irish Sea from Holyhead in a storm. Never been so sick in my life. 🤢

@@hwtours Lol, the ferries across the channel to France can be entertaining as well. I was expecting something similar on the trip to Tasmania from Melbourne but it was smooth all the way.

Yes there is in tweed heads and byron bay, kingscliff half of Australia is moving up there to live that's why it is expensive for units and houses

Yep not much fast food action around there. Mind you if the land was cheap enough. The big boys would be happy to slap a drive through down on the main road.
