Great vid Jesse, I think we'll be more mentally and physically sharper next year. Our biggest issue apart from injury was our fitness and inability to finish games off well. More of a full preseason unlike last year will defo help with rejuvenating the group. No doubt bringing in much needed depth and experience with Adams, Grundy, Jordon & Hamling, gives us great preparation for next year. Alongside more consistency in the midfield, if we can finish off games well next year, I think were a good chance to get back into the top 4.

Just a couple of points: 1. Both McCartin injuries were concussion-related, 2. Hammer played 17 WAFL games last year, 14 in 2022, 3. Rowbottom and Gulden OOC as well

I agree with all of these. The only other resolution I'd add is resigning Errol, as he's out of contract in 2024 as well. Although I expect him to sign, getting it done earlier would be great.

Sam Reid can play both ends, and big Jack Buller (199cm) might also be able to do the same. Patrick Snell also looks good, but time will tell. Sydney rate Gus Sheldrick highly enough to have given him Club great Josh Kennedy’s #12. Sheldrick was playing very good footy when he got injured again last season. He needs a big pre-season and an injury free 3rd year. Will be a gun inside midfielder if he can get his body right …

Sydney have an annoying habit of getting the best out of players from other teams. I think they will get Grundy to play somewhere near his best consistently. If he gets somewhere close to 20 possessions per game they will be very hard to play against.

Taylor Adams is also a very good pick up, as is James Jordan to support a pretty young midfield.

Overall with what you've said mate, I'd say it's going to be a year of consolidation for the Swans. Nothing to say that they can't reach finals and that it wouldn't be a good thing of course. But if the Swans can retain, reaffirm and rejuvenate the list throughout the course of next year, then the Swans could seriously pose a dangerous premiership threat for the next 3-6 years. Something that would certainly help is to strengthen both forward and back stocks with ready made talent but more so than that. I think a different branding of "the bloods" culture would do a world of good now. Buddy is gone and McCartin sadly had to retire too so now could be a real catalyst for Swans to recharge and go. They might not be my team, but I think the biggest question for the Swans now is "what are they about?"

@@ma3stro681 well yes that certainly would be the aim for every club otherwise why even exist in the game😂 No my question is more on the grey area of what do they want their playing identity to look like? Gameplan, branding, expansion and refinement of talent. There's alot of intrigue with these points on SYD Swans so simply put its going to be very interesting to see what they're about.

Excellent review of the situation on the ground in Habour Town however my concerns lay elsewhere: Perth has the second most expensive coffee in Australia behind Darwin, with an average cappuccino setting you back $4.63, followed by Hobart, where a coffee will cost around $4.58. Melbourne is the second cheapest city for coffee, with a regular cappuccino costing an average $4.21. In Adelaide, a coffee will cost $4.21, only slightly cheaper than in Brisbane, where it will cost $4.40. The cheapest coffee is reserved for Horse and his Opera House Swanettes at $3.95 Clearly the Swans salary cap should be reduced and have a penalty imposed upon Horse's Stable. The Eagles should immediately receive a 2 million compensation package in their salary cap and two extra draft picks. Get Simo to AFL House to discuss the actual numbers over a cup of coffee. 😎
