Aww I think Sydney is a very pretty, talented actress. She has been acting since she was a little girl like age 7 or 8. Plus she is so interesting! She is a master mechanic you know! Sydney can easily take apart and put together cars, has high intellect, and I hear she is super kind to everyone. I first saw her in Handmaid's Tale, i thought she played the part really well (and incidentally was super hot). However i have never felt the need to share or broadcast that opinion to anyone (until now in her defence!). Also had decent appearances in Sharp Objects, and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. I get freedom of speech etc but why Baum would feel the need to sh-- on Sweeney like this i do not know. I love the film Dead Ringers but it's not HER film exactly. Its David Cronenberg's film really! Maybe she should use her position of privilege to educate us on what true beauty and acting skill is, not make subjective comments about someone else who, until now, could have had a starring role in one of her films? People develop and change and some improve... I hope Baum has the capacity to do so too.

Sydney is gorgeous, gracious, and witty. I do not agree that she is a particularly good actress, though. She nails the role of Cassie in Euphoria, but I never fully buy her in other more serious roles.. her voice and cadence don’t make for a very convincing performance whenever the character isn’t a boy-crazy valley girl teenager. That being said, she certainly does not deserve to be bullied or reduced down to just her looks.

I havent liked a single show that I have seen Sydney on, and I can't warm up to her on interviews, but Baum's comments were so pointless, Does she really think it is women that should find Sydney attractive? Does she think she is Sydney's target audience? I don't find Father Of The Bride to be great either- just a movie trying to portray male incompetence as "endearing"... but I know I am not the target audience for that movie. If Carol had made a greater point about the state of Hollywood at the moment, without naming names I would have really appreciated and respected that, but this just came across as immature and unbecoming, especially for someone in her position within the industry and society.

Sydney Sweeney is one of the most gorgeous women in the world. She is also a good mannered artist from what I've seen so far. I'm not a huge fan of her filmography, not to say she's bad just that it doesn't resonate much with me. And that is subjective. However comments like that aren't very constructive. I've always been taught that if you have nothing good to say, it's better to say nothing at all. Geez man, why would Carol Baum feel the need to just attack Sydney Sweeney like that? Can she act?
