I just came home from a 4-day visit. We enjoyed Sydney a lot. Must see: Manly Beach, Luna Park and the Opera House. Grab a beer at the Opera House bar (beneath the OH) The Fish and Chips place at the Quay? To die for! Take the train to Mascot and visit the Kebab place right outside the train station...WOW! Darling Harbor? Crazy cool! To the residents of Sydney...thanks for being friendly and welcoming us to your city.

I agree Steve, catching a ferry to Manly Beach is a must do for every tourist. It’s the best and cheapest way to see Sydney Harbour, plus the best beach in Sydney

Did you do bookings before going for your visa application? Which website should I do the bookings and how much will the booking cost so that I can state my bookings on my itinerary during the visa application? Give me any advice that you think it will serve as an advantage to obtain our visa. I want to travel with my girlfriend on a tourist visit

I was expecting "Bondee" but not "bront" beach lol. FYI it's "bon-die" and "bront-tee".

Sydney, the state capital of New South Wales and one of the biggest cities in Australia, is best known for the Sydney Opera House, which is located right on the water and has a distinctive sail-like appearance. With the arched Harbour Bridge and renowned Royal Botanic Garden adjacent, the large Darling Harbour and the smaller Circular Quay port are centers of life along the water. The Skywalk at Sydney Tower provides 360-degree views of the city and its environs.

rc, Please reply to me. Blacktown looks dull, no different to parts of London. However, other parts of Sydney, do look unique and ultra-modern!!!

There are great views of the 3 Sisters at Katoomba. A bit further west (and a bit higher) there are views to the south at Medlow Bath and to the north at Blackheath. Then a bit further on you can take the short detour from Mt Victoria to My York. From there you can see the main ridge of the Great Dividing Range. A drive back through Bell and BIlpin will show more great views. Plenty of places to stay around Katoomba and Blackheath if you want to have a slower drive.

I will be moving to Sydney from Singapore in 3 months so, can I ask What is the cost of living like in your country? Are there any areas that are more affordable to live in?
@calamitysangfroid24077 ай бұрын
Areas affordable: nowhere in the city, look to suburbs further away and suffer the commute (former Singapore resident here, prepare for a huge drop in public transport quality). Super expensive. If you don't already have a job don't bother coming here.

Ive been to Sydney many times & its great! However, one thing I'll never understand is peoples fascination & popularity of Bondi Beach. It's literally one of the ugliest & worst beaches in Australia & the people it attracts are garbage.
