Because there is an opening to the field in the center of the goals. The other cheer squad who are the other team are more on the side because otherwise they would be in the members area

I was at the game tonight and even though the Swans I thought played with high intensity,it wasn't as consistent as it normally is.🙄 We were very competitive yo to halftime but very,very flat in many patches particularly after halftime time. We weren't playing the 1 percenters like we usually do. Buddy Franklin looked tired,enthusiastic but sadly not running his usual free game. Our midfield was sloppy at the best of times. Not to take nothing away from Melbourne,particularly Nathan Jones there captain.Geez he played a game a game and a half me his second half snaps on his left foot down at the randwick end in the 2nd half were what I thought got the demons over the line.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 He was all class and the demons are lucky to have him.😊 Sadly we missed Mcveigh's leadership aka like Nathan Jones class so badly that may have made the difference in the match. Horse needs to find another gear from his charger's and very,very quickly otherwise I geel otherwise the season will slip away before the mid season breakcoming up soon. @Ryan Basillo yeah I think the difference in the end really did just come down to accuracy. I mean if the dees missed say 2 of those goals and Swans snagged two of their behinds well its an even contest. Will be nice to get Jake Lever and Steven May into that backline in a month or two.

I'd say it's fair to doubt the swans right now but in 2014 we started 1-3 And finished minor premiers, you can't fully count them out. Not to mention Sydney missing 800 games of experience in the back.

Brisbane look likely to replace Sydney in the finals this year for the first time in excactly a decade since 2009 the Lions 🦁 and Swans 🦢 will most likely swap places the way it’s shaping there’s always change the top 8 never stays the same there have been at least two changes since the final eight format began in 1994 this change appears a very likely scenario

Travis Travis yeah that’s absolutely true that was certainly a great characteristic of the Swans 🦢 under Roos and Longmire the ability to win contests and spread the opposition is sadly missing in the Swans 🦢 this season I suppose it’s wearing on the Swans 🦢 who have been the AFLs benchmark of 15 of the last 16 finals appearances and the last 9 consecutive seasons I suppose it appears one of those years for the Swans 🦢
