Perhaps this video is the best way to see Sydney & its sites of interest. If I'm hungry or want a drink I just go to the kitchen & get it, Sydney's restaurants & bars are often over the top price wise. Luxury hotels always cost the earth & the sky, so if I'm sleepy I just take a nap - no cost for that either. The only thing one misses via video is the gorgeous climate, the scent of tropical flowers planted generously throughout. One also misses the proportions of the gigantic bridge & opera house and the endless glass towers which more or less curtain the downtown. I find Vancouver (though smaller) very akin to Sydney. That Pacific rim city has also succeeded in creating an environment catering primarily to the super wealthy. Go for sure and see them once...be sure you have quality walking shoes and a credit card with a minimum $20,000.00 limit. On the positive side both cities offer many free attractions and there are numerous inviting parks where one can enjoy a bagged lunch from the many street vendors. Since the whole World now wears nothing but distressed denims it's harder to distinguish the haves from the have nots.
