what a legend and a great speaker, man just looking at those oversize hands and bumps of muscle growing out of muscle...very great example of a man devoted and still excited about his passion. I loved arm wrestling as a teenager as lots of us did. I know it is a "small" sport in terms of viewers but I love watching it now and I think it will get bigger due to so many sports channels available. I'm just watching all the champions from the 70's up now!!!!

All I can say about what he's talking about here is... SMART. Smart, smart and smart. It's almost perfect advice for every armwrestler really.

when i was still in my high school years, i was considered one of the strongest armwrestlers, unofficially ofcourse...just having some fun back then....but then i got wrist injury and everything changes....now seeing Devon on these tournaments makes me relive my long lost passion for arm wrestling...but only by just viewing the videos....no longer physically capable of doing so now

buttons to start the match, that's an excellent idea. Just put a button on the pegs, hold it down while you are happy, when both are pressed at the same time, circuit is connected, a light comes on and ref says go, That's so simple to do. Why isn't this in the WAL!

Heard this in a different seminar but so important. Do what you are most likely to do most often. I’ve had weights at home for years but I’ve always desired to do more than I was willing. I’m sort of fuckin lazy lol But doing pronation, cupping, rising, rows and curls multiple times a day is something I can dig. Chin-ups at work, why not? Way of the giant pumpkin

What’s up with those weird bubbles on Devon’s bicep and triceps? Is he throwing darts, or is that something else?

Feel like Devon has lost his strength. Sometimes i wonder how Devon would do if he roided up like Denis cyplenkov.

When Devon says lifting lighter for more reps it makes me cringe every time. I understand it for recovery but if you want to train strength, lift heavy and don't do any more than 5 reps per set. If you can do a 6th rep, increase weight. A friend of mine won a power lifting comp a couple of weeks ago for his weight division and he only lifts 1, 3 or 5 reps. The guys I see at the gym doing over 10 reps never get any stronger. Over 10 reps you are just doing cardio and losing gains.

Armwrestling is not the same as weight lifting
@finnsk35 жыл бұрын
@@mikepellettiere8541 yeah.... But it's still a strength based sport and the general consensus is low reps heavy weight for best strength gains. I definitely won't be training high reps for arm wrestling regardless of what devon says. That being said you really can't call the static lifts used to train arm wrestling the same as a rep of full range of motion. Conditioning bones and tendons may require more reps but as far as your muscles are concerned lift heavy for low reps.

Maybe you should tell Tom Brady how to throw a football next jk 😄

@@mikepellettiere8541 I am not telling Devon how to arm wrestle I am just saying that high reps is bad advice for gaining strength. Just google it; it's the general consensus.

@@finnsk3 it's general broscience, not scientific conscensus :) there are many different ways for gaining strenght
