You posted this at the perfect time! I just got off almost 2 weeks ago after being on it for 7 years (started it at 18, I’m 25 now). Planning on getting a smart ring and using natural cycles to track my cycle once my periods are back to normal🎉

Such good timing of a video 😅 I’ve been on the pill since I was 14 (like WHAT that’s crazy) & have been doing research the past 2 weeks on natural cycles / ditching the pill!!

Long time follower here ☺️ this video could not have come at a better time! Thank you for putting out this information! As someone who just went to the doctor this very morning and was told BC was my only option to reduce my symptoms (PCOS runs in my family). But I didn’t take that as an answer and am going to continue to dig deeper into healing it naturally! I’m so grateful for the book recommendations as well!! God really knew what he was doing having you post this today! Much love!! 🩷🩷

Thank you so much for this video! I've personally *never* considered not taking birth control ever since I've started because I'm so scared of getting pregnant :') but hearing you talk about how we are constantly taking birth control which does so much damage to our bodies and minds, just to make sure that we don't get pregnant on only 5 days of the month makes me realize how crazy that actually is. I should probably get more educated on it now and reconsider. Thanks!

Thank you for bringing attention to this!! I read the fertility book this time last year after i had stopped bc and I was genuinely distraught learning what it was doing to this beautiful system God created for my body. Its so sad there isnt more public education about our CYCLE, not just periods. Love this Syd ❣️

Thank you sydney for the great video. Love you girl. I have heard here and there about natural cycles but never looked more into it. and you hit every note for basic beginners on this topic, thank you. Hopefully soon i can start doing this and track my cycle. Thank you for being open about this topic. Can you do a video about aura rings talking about them more in-depth, that would be awesome. Thanks girl. Will definitely get the books you recommended.

Never taken birth control, never wil. I'm extremely regular and know my body inside and out and have naturally avoided getting pregnant and learning my own queues and tracking. Loved this video!

Years ago, I used natural cycles coming off BC to help track my cycle so when my husband and I decided to get pregnant I would know when I’m ovulating. Natural cycles helped me conceive my daughter and it also helped me realize that I had hormonal imbalances postpartum (I never got my period back postpartum plus a bunch of other symptoms). I was 99% sure I developed PCOS and sure enough I did. Now natural cycles is helping me learn when I’m ovulating despite having PCOS and I’m using it to prepare myself to conceive again sometime next year!

Does that book that mentions endometriosis talk about how you can get off birth control and work with endometriosis? Doctors always just say birth control is how you help endo. I have been searching for other ways to help. Love your videos! ❤ Have been wanting to get of birth control 🎉

If you use the thermometer, do you have to take your temp immediately after waking, like still in bed? Or can you go to the restroom and do it?
@rosaire19953 ай бұрын
i dont have apple watch or oura ring? can i just use the thermometer ? and is it disposable or its just one u get and thats it ? sorry might be some dumb questions never really done this.
@jamiedexter20223 ай бұрын
You can use a basal thermometer (measures more accurately) and when you subscribe to the app, Natural Cycles, they will send you one! But I will say, it’s hard to remember to take your temp consistently with it.

I have the ring in my cart. im gonna get it when I'm married right now it's only 200 dollars, so hopefully, it will be that cheap when I get it. It's gonna be a couple of years at least, probably before I get married

Does NC work if you're breastfeeding and not getting a period?
@sydfrances3 ай бұрын
I think it does, it will track your temp & give you red days until you have your first confirmed ovulation. You can reach out to them for more info!
@jamiedexter20223 ай бұрын
After having a baby myself, I would not trust it 100% postpartum!! So many things can come up and disrupt your cycle before you even know it! I would use another form of birth control in addition to tracking. Just my opinion though

Planned parenthood (and other studies) says that you can get pregnant at any time of the cycle. It's just more likely during ovulation! Don't know if you want to look more into that (I definitely will be).
@sydfrances3 ай бұрын
that interesting cause everything else i’ve read & based on my own experience + friends and family who use Natural cycles they have not gotten pregnant on anytime other than those 5-6 days! Good to do your own research tho!!
@iamvip173 ай бұрын
I think it could apply to those who don’t really track their cycle and don’t know if they’ve ovulated early or late and ofc can get pregnant during those times!
